Awesome!

I got the immediate feeling of a loyalist Death Guard Dread caught on the surface of Isstvan III (I don't immediately recall if there were any mentioned, but that's what I get).

The only nitpick I have is that I would have liked to see some torn wires/hoses and maybe some fluid stains coming from the missing arm "wound". I feel like there would be more there than just a hole.

I believe there was one, whose armour integrity was compromised prior to the virus bombing and died because he wasn't sealed.

Beautiful technique, though I must nitpick and point out that the Death Guard were not permitted to wear the Aquila.

I see what you were doing... But to be honest, at first I even wondered why you posted an unfinished model in the Hall of Honour. It did look like his right arm went missing - so it took me a while to figure out this was intentional.

Personally, I would like to see some more visible damage around the emtpy socket. Sure, its arm could have been torn off in hand-to-hand, but it just doesn't look right without huge scratches. My nephew (12) just told me it looks like it was rusting apart :)

Also, since the right arm is missing, this part of the display base seems to be somewhat empty. There's that dragon's tooth, but that's about it. Corpses, debris, barbed wire - imho, you should've done something.

Great pose and idea, though.

And the battle damage is awesome, especially that on the dragon's tooth.

Is there a recipe for your rust? Mine usually looks like... dust. Brownish dust.

I agree, it's a really nice model, but the arm being damaged looks like its just dropped off like a broken action man (G.I Joe for you peeps across the pond). It really needs either a nub left behind of battle damage or the hoses and cables sparking and leaking coolants/pneumatic fluids, that would just round it off nicely!

Ah, well this fella's armor is certainly compromised, perhaps he falls to a knee as he sees the inevitability of the virus spreading through his comrades.

We also would have accepted action figure. :)

Action Man is the cultural equivalent of GI Joe in the UK. I believe he's been around longer too.

Ah, the no caps made me think that perhaps "action man" was just a Brit term for action figure. Thanks for the info.

Don't go trying to steal our thunder as pioneers of the action figure - word on the street is Action Man is a licensed copy of GI Joe. ;)

But I think we are getting off topic...
