I Lord-Captain Belial Neigorath the Thrice-accursed hereby pledge my soul, my allegiance and that of my troops', to Chaos Eternal. I swear to you that I will paint and present A pack of 5 Raptors, one hellbrute, 6 chosen, one forge/maulerfiend and one lieutenant of the 8th Cohort, Legio XVI, aka Black Legion, before January 18th, 2013. I also promise to provide a project update, at least twice per month. Neigorath Posted October 21, 2012 Author Share Posted October 21, 2012 First pre-update: Started assembling the Raptor Squad for the Call. Going to try and magnetize all weapon options to enable changing them to Warp Talons in a game or two if I feel like it. Also started converting the Helbrute as the first one was too far in the painting already for me to be able to enter it into the Call. Weapon options magnetized, limbs seems to have to be bluetacked as my magnets are not powerful enough... Still need to undercoat the different special weapon options. Maulerfiend-parts of the 'Fiend are on the backburner for now, need to finish the rest of the monster first. Ignore the rearmost two chosen with boltguns, they are WiP's from the first batch and therefore not included in the Call because I had already advanced beyond the undercoat stage. Yes, it's missing headlights.. got it, another defiler, Leman Russ Vanquisher, Basilisk, Sentinel and a metal grey knight terminator for 30 euros plus postage, not too shabby. Neigorath Posted November 15, 2013 Author Share Posted November 15, 2013 Results of my first evening at building these bad boys(or they might be gals, haven't checked)Basic Helldrake body with additional lasher tendrils and zombie dragon wings. Close up of head options. Either the heldrake neck with the bat head or zombie dragon head and neck with a bit of chopping. Second one has only the head swapped at the moment. Body consisted of such a number of small parts that it's assembly took time. Still, I'm liking the pose already. It will get maulerfied arms most likely. Whoo!Next step is to figure out how to mount the heldrake wings on it.This drake lost it's shoulder armor because of wing placement.
