Bymis' Death Guard

Warbringer

Recommended Posts

So I've fallen far from grace and now wish death upon the false emperor.

Papa Nurgle has offered me great blessings and the warmth of his affection so I've joined the death guard.

Will Update this post with a main picture of each entry.

So I wasn't happy with my test model, which i undercoated white, the grey was far too light and more like the highlight colour I was aiming for.

So i took a trip to the big smoke and brought myself some halfords grey primer which is pretty amazing, will try the white and black and may move to their plastic primer.

Done some work and finished the base, painted most the large metal and washed will re highlight, also started painting bleached bone onto the horny bits :) just need to was and re highlight then will hopefully finish the details in the next week.

Nice work on Typhus! :) I take it you'll be doing Zombies with him? :D :D

Typhus Zombies are the only thing that converted me to chaos i love zombies sooo much.

I've ordered the Mantic Z Corps set from wayland games @£40 for 80 models you really can't go wrong,

Then i'm going to order CSM from GW and Deathguard conversion set from Forgeworld

And then hopefully a Forgefiend for Xmas.

Is the green just grey with a wash? It is quite an effective colour.

Its Halfords Grey Primer

Straken Green

Athonian Camoshade

Highlights will be with Nurgling green.

Yeah it looks pretty good, just got to be a little careful on how the wash dries not to leave too many streaks :)

Finished.

Might add some more stuff to the base once I've finished all the units so it can be tied together, maybe a couple of dead necron bits in a zombie fashion, Or Zombie Limbs :P

Nice paint job, really clean (probably not the right word), the only thing missing is a better base, I like you're idea of using necron parts. The only crit I have is the metalic hive cluster things on the upper part of his back and green armor versions on the lower parts, just my opinion though, over all I like it alot.

Thanks for that, TBH i never noticed them, will finish it off tonight and re take the photo tomorrow!

Yeah the base is plain atm but once i've finished then either zombie arms or necron arms/bodies will be littering them.
