This is a tutorial on making Librarian Biker, a simple conversion using Dark Vengeance minis. You'll of course need the Librarian and a biker. I used the sarge biker as he has robes already but you can use one of the other bikes as well. Besides the DV minis, you'll need green stuff. Optionally you can get handlebars off of the Space Marine Biker kit & one (or both) arms as well.

You can do it. I believe in you.

First pick which arm you want. I chose the right arm as I like the image of power, unlimited power, projecting from the librarian's arm. Plus you only have to snip along this red line to finish prep. Otherwise its a bit tougher but possible to cut off the right arm & keep the sword.

So, depending which arm you picked, you've got several options next. If you kept the sword, you can use the sarge's arm & handle bar. If you kept the power arm then you will have to use the arm of the plasma gunner. If you have biker bits, you can use the handlebar & corresponding arm. If you don't have extra arms but do have the handlebar, converting a bolter arm will work too, its just a lot more work.

If you have a normal biker handlebar, you will need to cut off the little notch underneath. A pair of clippers will get rid of it easily. The key is making the area flat so you can get a good seal on glue.

On the bike, there's a plastic guide that the DV handle bars mount on. If you have handlebars that don't fit on it, you'll need to snip it off, approximately where the red line is. Its important to leave some as that is where the handlebars rest.

So on to the Librarian. Here you've got a choice. Cut above or below the Librarian symbol. I want the legs for another conversion, so I cut above along the red line. You can cut along the green so that you keep the symbol on the Librarian. Of course you can always get a clipper, cut right through & clean up. Easiest but often leads to regret. On the back, just cut along the blue line. If you've got good sculpting skills you can opt to just chop through easily & just rebuild the book. Any way you decide, the plastic is thick on both halves so cut CAREFULLY.

Now, if you opted to cut above like I did, then you have a gap like in this pic. There's also the gap behind him as well. Simply add green stuff.

Its relatively simple to make it look like part of his robes. Even if you cut below & kept the librarian symbol, you'll need some GS to fill in the gap on his back and possibly a little to help fit the front as well.

And hopefully now you have a Librarian on a bike. I'm not super gluing on the GS yet as I can pull them apart easily, which will allow me easier access when painting. Once that's done, then glue.

Up next, heavy weapons.

Alrighty, here's a very quick way to make new attack bikes that go with the look of the new DA bikes. You'll need a DV bike and the sidecar for an attack bike. A place like the Warstore or Bitzbarn sell either the sprue or the bitz that assemble the weapon carrier for around or less than 10 USD. Ebay works sometimes as well. I needed the bike for another army so I just ripped mine off of an existing SMAB.

Once you assemble the side car, you can compare where the sidecar would fit on a normal bike. As you can see in the pic, it's too tight to fit. You can shave the area until you get the right size or...

...take a clipper & trim off the front of the connecting bar until it fits. Its not a perfect fit as they really didn't intend for this & the model juts out a bit where the seam is, making a flat seal for the glue difficult if you don't sand it down. I recommend you do file it down flat as it might throw off the look of the bike. Also clip off those guiding pegs...

...unless of course you want to do some silly stuff.

Now you should have a new DV style attack bike. Add icons to taste.
