It continues your trudge through the Path to Redemption. All unforgiven players may participate in the short, simple event. Aims: 1. To encourage those who have never attempted Freehand Art Work on their models to take that first and extremely important step. To paraphrase Astronaut Neil Armstrong, one small step for you will be a giant leap for all the unforgiven! 2. To promote those who are comfortable with Freehand Art Work to greater endeavours. 3. To encourage everyone to add greater detail to their armoured vehicles. How to participate: Submit one or more tanks as a single oath. For those starting their first foray in to freehand artwork I would suggest a single vehicle. Rules: 1. Only tracked armoured vehicles may be submitted (aka Currus Belli) 2. This may be a completely new kit starting from scratch, a partially built model, one with an undercoat or a fully completed model. I would suggest picking a tank that you have recently completed. 3. A minimum of a single Freehand Art Work must be added to the tank. The artwork may comprise of a chapter insignia (eg. Winged sword), a campaign marking, imagery, kill markings etc. The more the merrier. 4. Size does not matter. Your artwork may be a small icon or cover the entire side of the vehicle. Entirely up to you. 5. You are encourage to add as many additionald etails as possible. For example Dirt, weathering, battle damage, equiment (tow cables etc), spare parts (additonal tarck links etc), marines riding on the hull, bolters, helmets, camouflage netting and so on. How to make your submission You enter the event by making an oath below in this thread in the following manner and posting an image of the vehicle you wish to enter. I <<insert your name here>> of the << insert your Chapter or Legion>> make an oath of moment to honour my << insert your Armoured Vehicle>> with an image wrought from my own hands and to make ready my vehicle for battle! For the Lion and the Legion! How to complete your oath Post an image of your completed model with the mandatory Free Hand Artwork at the end of the thread. You may also add the completed image to your original post but it is important that you make a post at the end of the thread for ease of record keeping. Timeline: MON 27 January 2014: Acceptance of Oaths SUN 2 March 2014: End of Event. Awards: Artisan's Gambit Banner: All participants may wear this in their signature. If you're armoured vehciles are completely covered in tattoos :) then do like djgoldsmith is doing...get a brand new one. Twenty of the 29 oathmakers kept their oaths in Currus Belli. I am hoping atleast ten of them would indulge in this quest. But more importantly I sincerely hope those who didn't complete their oaths and others who didn't participate would join in! However I'm trying to reduce the number of deadlines in my life so I won't commit until the muse finds me. I do have a stock of tanks that could all use some extra freehand work.
