  3. Loving the interior of the razorback. I might have to "borrow" the hazard striping on the floor by the doors for my rhinos :tu: As for battle damage, I'm a fan of the sponge method. I find it gives a nice random effect to the chips that I can never get with a brush, although I guess it's no good if you want to apply highlights to the chips. Anyway you can see some examples of the results I've been getting here
  4. The boarding marines look amazing. I love the battle damage on them it makes them look really brutal. I have to go with the others and say my favourite is the one swinging the chainsword. :)
  5. Looking good so far. The white looks nice and smooth. You're a braver man than me painting white over a black undercoat ;)

  7. I use a white under coat even though my scheme is yellow and black quartered, I just find it easier to paint black over a white under coat than yellow over black. I guess it depends how patient and how good you are, I think the majority of the really good painters use a black under coat no matter what colour they want in the end. Yep, by watering down the paint for layering you do just add water to the paint. The ratios will vary depending on the paint you are using but you want to aim for the consistency of skimmed milk.
  8. I do my yellow in a similar way to the first method suggested by aNex88. White undercoat and a couple of thin coats of golden yellow, flesh wash (not sure if you can still get this but I've got an almost full pot still) for shading and Andrea basic yellow for highlights. I use a white under coat because there is no way I am skilled or patient enough to get a good yellow over a black undercoat. The white undercoat is probably the most important part, if you get good coverage with that the yellow is relatively easy.

  11. Doesn't it also say in IA that comanders are encouraged to change tactical markings from time to time? Not that many/any do. Couldn't you say that the tactical marking were changed from white to black during campaign X and were then left that way. Then you could model pre camapign X War Bearers with white tactical markings and post campaign X with black markings. That way everybody is happy :D
  12. The heavier bone structure would also be as a result of the ossmodula malfunctioning. Maybe it's trying to turn the marines bone structure to that of the dragon, making the bones thicker and heavier.
  13. Here's my take on the whole mutations thing. There was a slight problem with the omophagea, possibly down to a mutation, possibly down to the way it is implanted. This has caused some of the marines bodies to not only learn from the genetic information in the dragon
