Are folks using any of the anti-air vehicles or letting the flyers do all the work? I’m finally able to use the Stormtalonhawk I bought so that makes me a happy boy. But do I want / need an SPAA?

Still not up for pre-order here in the States. I find that most unfair. I’m really excited to see what new combos and old favorites I’ll have access to in the Codex. I’ve been collecting all sorts of new models in anticipation of the release and soon I’ll be able to decide where to start. Though pretty obviously I need to pick up the Sanguinor. Again. Thank you James for having the patience to answer all these questions. And the mojo to have gotten the advance copy.

Very nice. Clean, precise work with an outstanding red. Almost enough to get me started on all the new stuff I bought. But I’ve psyched myself into a corner of fear that I’ll build and paint only to find out that we can’t use them. They’ve done it to me enough times in the last three decades that I’m kind of gun shy.

Depending on how you value your time you might look into buying a cheap scale kit of something like a Marder III or any of the other early open fighting compartment tank destroyers. Or you could grab a SPA kit like an M109 or even one of the Soviet models. I'd suggest picking up Tamiya's "thick" brush on plastic glue. It is designed to go exactly where you put it and not drip or run. I've had nothing but good results using it to build a couple of Knights and the Redemptor. As long as you wipe the excess off on the edge of the bottle before applying you should have zero issues with glue going where it shouldn't.

I must have missed something after 5e Grey Knights sucked the joy out of the game for me. What/who are FLG and what do they have to do with anything?

I think between your two suggestions there I may have a winner. I really only need to create one or two character models and those legs look great.

I've decided to use Iron Hands as my fill in Chapter to give my Imperium army access to all the goodies that GW has spitefully denied my Blood Angels. But.... I'm having a bit of trouble deciding how I'll bionicize the Primaris marine officers that I plan to use as detachment HQ slot fillers. The traditional IH upgrades are too small and don't work with the Primaris models "easy build" style anyway. Any suggestions or examples out there?

Hmmm... I wonder if the Emperor's Pointy Sticks received any Primaris Marines? Perhaps I'll have to do some investigating. ;)

Hey, at least they still sell the IH upgrade set. So you can get parts from GW and FW. But yeah, I wish there was some real rules and special characters.

Just a bit of trim work on a Predator. Next up will be finishing my Land Raider Prometheus.
