Was gone in 3 minutes for me via the GW website today. Local Warhammer store had 1 person make it through the kiosk before it was gone. -

Deathwatch Veteran of the Vultures Chapter. Well...first completed mini in...years. many years. Lots of work to do yet to continue rebuilding skill sets but the ground work is there. Camera work feels a long way off. I have old digital cameras I can maybe try. My phone is 6+ years old and I no longer have proper lighting. That will all come in time. This mini was the free Deathwatch mini from December. Helmet and backpack swap.

I've set a few helmets aside to slap onto that Nightlords Raptor Killteam when it is released!

Yet another skill set that it will take some time to regain. These old Vultures decals were made long before Phobos/Reiver armor came about. So they are a little big for that pad. Some thin sections (like the Vultures neck) certainly add to the difficulty level for me right now. Too many years away.It will get better. I do have 3D pads but I need the decal practice.

Started in on the December Mini of the Month. Did a helmet and power pack swap. This will be a Vulture Marine serving in the Deathwatch. Base colors down only so far: Monument Hobbies Flat Black Spray Primer GW Chaos Black for the body Iron Wind Metals Steel (I've got some really old paint lines in the drawers) on the DW arm. VMC 814 Burned Red for the bolter casing. Ral Partha AD&D Paladin Blue for the base. Iron Wind Dark Brown for the leather. VMC 856 Light Orange for the Chapter pad. Camera work sucks. Eyes may need glasses at this point but this year the plan is to push through and get some skills back.

If this helps anyone, here are all the entries from the original 2003 contest: -
Back to the Army from One miniature. This guy is for my Vultures Chapter. I have started with a prime in Colour Forge Imperial Purple and a zenithal of Colour Forge Convict Orange. Now when you sign up for the Army From One, grime.time.painting will send you TWO miniatures. One to paint and send back and one to keep. I think the current round has closed but this spring a new round with a new mini will start up. My good old potato-phone pictures.... So my second Phobos marine is for my OrksBane Chapter:
-
@Brother Christopher The Phobos Marine leaping the wall is part of the Army From One project that @grime.time.painting is doing over on IG. This first round has come to a close, at least in the sense of him sending minis out (I believe). But basically you pay the shipping, he sends you 2 of the printed minis, you paint one and send it back to him and then keep the other. He is going to have the next round starting late spring/early summer of '26. It will be a new mini.

Base progress for the Impaler's Apothecary.
-
I agree about the winged spear. It is good in concept but at least the spear is probably too big. I could maybe cut the wings off and file more of the back off to slim them down. Part of why I went with them in current form is because they confirm to the shin nicely. Not sure what I can do with the spear head though. Not sure anything in the GW range is smaller. The spear head is from a 20+ year old Undead Roman Legionnaires kit from Zvezda models.

Been working on a piece for the the_apothecarion charity even over on IG. My Impalers Chapter (BA Successor) and a totally not game legal Apothecary. Moving along and have lots of clean up yet to do on what is done. That said, I've temporarily blu-tac'd the jetpack and Apothecary tools in place as I'm unsure if I should move forward with the tools attached to the jetpack. From @the_apothecarion over on IG:

You may have seen this making the rounds elsewhere and after speaking with @Brother Tyler we've decided to add our weight to it. There is an 8 year old girl battling cancer in the UK and one way they are raising funds for her is by raffling off a Crux Terminator box set. You can purchase a raffle ticket here for that: https://raffall.com/401083/enter-raffle-to-win-crux-terminatus-boxset-hosted-by-tyler-lovatt or if you'd rather donate directly, they also have a go fund me going: https://www.gofundme.com/f/phoebeschallenge

Yeah, Some bitz from the Night Lords Kill Team and you could have a great Raptor Lord with that head.
