ok, that's interesting - I've got an entire Company+ of Marines, but I've also got a hobby drawer full of Marine helmets, so maybe there's a way to start adding Cybermen into my old-skool BA without them looking too... new? and yes, those are unpainted Advanced Space Crusade scouts, you don't get Venerable in your name unless you've got an impressive Pile o' Shame. Although painting conditions over the weekend fell into the "difficult" category (high temp, low humidity & lots of beer), progress was made. (click for bigger pics) Primed with Halfords Satin Black rattle-can. Base coat of Tin Bitz, Red Gore, Dheneb Stone for white/bone pieces. Base coat of Boltgun metal, power weapons are metallic blue then watered-down dark blue glass paint. Burnished Gold over the Tin Bitz. Skull White, needs knocked back a bit for contrast. Bases are EC, to tie in with my CSM - Screamer Pink base. They'll be chipped and washed, probably some rust on there as well, and on the track links you can't really see.

Can somebody confirm please :D I converted the plastic DC Chaplain into a Dante, as I need another Chaplain like a hole in the head, but it was too nice a model not to use. All the bits are from the Sang Guard box. Jump-pack's just tacked on for photos, so it's a bit wobbly. Managed to make some Sang Guard that don't look like they're dancing, and actually look like they might kick some ass. Some Rhinos, because Rhinos. Roof hatches are loose, so can be switched for Raz's easily. These will be vow #2 if I get the Dante etc done with enough time left. And my current favourite modelling set-up

One option, however, would be to increase the cost of additional units, maybe 5-10% for each extra one you take. So the second one costs say 110%, third costs 120% etc. That would mean a 6 SR list would cost 7.5 SR (50+40+30+20+10=150%, on top of their base cost) You could tweak the % values without affecting players who just want to take one in their list - GW could even tweak the increases so they're not straight, but get larger the more you take, say 5,15,30,50,100? This would allow you to curb excessive spam lists, and it obviously would't be just limited to Storm Ravens.

Oh good! i think I've fallen for the same problem we had with Librarians and Chaplains, they're not listed with a little 1 next to them in the BA units list so i figured they couldn't take jump-packs. Haven't been thru the leaks thoroughly yet.

LOL just S5??? "this unit can fight twice in each fight phase" Better than Death Co in every way and cheaper to boot. This is ridiculous. Τhey are just 1 point cheaper. They are better than the DC, no doubt about that, but the only reason is because they attack twice. We have no idea currently what other rules might or might not apply to the DC We have seen some pages of the probable new rulebook, which may well have been photographed on a toilet floor looking at some of the background I tidied up earlier.

Ok, from experience, you can't see much more than about 2" back into a Land Raider unless you have a light source, so don't sweat it too much. I fully painted my first one, OSL lighting on the engine (crap OSL, but hey..), leather seats, weathering. And unless you're holding it up to eye level with the sun directly behind you, or have a Maglite, I might as well have painted it black.
