  3. Yeah, all of this is pure gold. I really love where FW is going with both the fluff and the rules. I was contemplating on using the HH as a platform to do a different army than my usual Blood Angels, but who am I kidding? :D Looks like I will be painting more red when I get to 30K.
  4. I think A D-B summarized the Blood Angels just perfectly a while back: This is why you should play the Sons of Sanguinius.

  6. Oh man, these are freaking amazing. Every mini just oozes that Unforgiven flavour. Especially love the Master with the Mace, nice conversions.

    Dark Angels 2.0

Getting back to my first army, after a few years hiatus. Minis will appear here.
  8. Wow, very well said. I think you managed to express why Angels of both variety are my favourite chapters and armies of choice. :tu:
  9. This I think is the biggest problem of the book. If someone asked you "What are the Pre-Heresy Blood Angels like?" you still couldn't provide an answer, even after this book. When you compare FTT to books like Prospero Burns, you just get the feeling that a lot more could have been done in defining the Legion. I also think the epic event that is Signus Prime could have been handled better overall, if it was written by A D-B or Abnett. However, I don't think FTT is a bad book, not at all. It just isn't as awesome as it could have been. One could argue though that as a BA player and a huge fan of their fluff I have unrealistic expactations. ^_^ Anyways, one thing I think Swallow really nailed down is Sanguinius though. So major props to him for that. Not a bad book, but also not ball-breakingly awesome.
  10. Well, despite being a huge AD-B fanboy I forgot about the whole thing. Yeah, despite all the BL emails. That's how crappy my memory is nowadays. :D Luckily for me though, as I opened my computer today there were still Silver copies left. Ordered one along with Lord of the Night. I'm hoping all these heretical tomes won't convert me into Chaos. Even Space Marine seems to think I'm a Chaos Marine since 80% of the time I'm thrown to the Chaos side of things.
  11. Finished the game and I must say it was great fun! My BA Vanguard Vet was truly a beast. A good snack while I'm waiting for the real deal, and got my Power Sword for Space Marine to boot.
  12. Another vote for Banner B. I also don't think the Sword is too Dark Angel-y for the Blood Angels since it was Sanguinius' chosen weapon after all and is displayed in some Chapter Banners. Additionally a lot of BA ships incorporate a sword in their name such as "Angel's Sword" in Space Hulk and "Blade of Vengeance" being the Battle Barge of 2nd Company. In fact I think it represents the Blood Angels very well. But anyways awesome work man! :)
  13. I have been recently toying around with various recipes for yellow and painting yellow reminds me of the IFs' underlying "masochistic" tendencies. Just kidding. :o Now seriously speaking, the method I'm currently trying out is icallitsoda's recipe. (the recipe is further down the post) Too early to tell the results as my first coat of Golden Yellow is drying as I type this, but man do those pictures look awesome!
