TBF I never used that model for Heresy, I just remodeled it into Lias Issodon. I do wish they still made that though, it was a lovely sculpt.

My current idea for a Close combat variant Riptide, exclusive to the Enclaves. Its still used primarily as a mid range fire platform, but has the capability to throw back enemy heavy CC units such as Dreadnoughts and the like. Its something I could see the Enclaves doing with their focus on CQC warfare.

I will be biased and say Raptors. And you definitely can do a mechanised infantry raptors force, its actually how I play mine. Combined arms and flexibility is the Raptor way!

No, its a special rule. His Warlord Trait would be the Raven Guard one. Warlord traits are the one thing successors don't get forced on them actually. Stratagems and CT each have rules specific text that grants their successor access to them. There isn't a blanket successor rule. The warlord trait rules for named characters make it so must match their current chapter from the table if possible; Raptors isn't there and that's why Crimson Fists/Black Templar have their own while other successors don't. If there was a specific Raptors WLT Issodon would have to take it. It makes sense since not ever successor is just a reskinned version of their parent chapter. Raptors for example are more range-oriented. *Cue manical laughter*

The Raptors have been in transit, having a few skirmishes along the way. Reinforcements are inbound however, The rest of our Chapter Master's honour guard and an Ancient brother from the catacombs has been awoken. Preparation for the campaign to retake Londinium in the 5th month of 018M2 is go.

I am very very much loving this. Pouches galore! And I agree with you on the ornamentation. I leave a small amount of it, especially on my Lias and his 'Honour Guard' units I have made for him, but its mostly functional. I will say I adore the camo patterns on the tanks holy s&*%.

I use plasma gun deepstrikers and sternguard with an ancient with him. Its brutal, and I basically use it to nuke a priority target before moving off and securing the backline and hunkering down.
