This is an awesome idea. Thank you for providing those templates. I'm actually going to enter the Armies on Parade this year and I really wanted to print off my Index Astartes so people can read about my chapter while they admire the models. Some one suggested that we could make some of the articles produced into a forgeworld style campaign book? That would be awesome. Maybe we could do like a Badab war-like story? Now that we have Primaris marines, maybe? Definitely subscribed to this thread to watch more closely on this idea. EDIT: I was just wondering what fonts are used in the original Horus Heresy articles, Index Astartes etc? It's so i can go and download them to use in the templates.

Nice! I really like the color scheme. It is nice to see the Chapter in a variety of units. How big is the escalation league going to get up to?

Don't worry, over time you will get to know what each army does and what their strengths or weaknesses are. 1. Warp Powers/Psychic Powers - same thing, your friend definitely misled or lied to you there. Pretty much anything done in the psychic phase is a psychic power. 2. Yes, use your own models, it's the best way to learn how to play, a player will learn much faster if he's using their own models that they're invested in. 3. It was not good at all that your friend set a game for you to fail from the start. 2000 points vs 1000 points is a dumb way to teach a new player. 40k, especially in this edition, is quite balanced. If you guys were playing same amount of points, it would of been a much closer game.

I can remember when Centurions first came out. Everyone on the intetnet hated them and that in turn gave me a negative perspective on them. However I read the lore on them and I like it. That didnt still change my mind on them. It was only until I read their rules and bought a kit of them. It was only until I built them and starting painting them that I started to like the Centurion midel range. Centurions are so under rated IMHO.

Although I think 8th ed is better to play than 7th ed, I do miss some of the complexity that comes with it. I agree, lets take the skeleton of 7th ed and add the best mechanics from 8th ed. If we combine the best and remove the worst, surely we have the best edition to ever own.

A TV Series about Inquisition and rogue traders would be cool. I think if Space marines or anything like that would be too hard to do in terms of budget allocated for it.

I suspect that the vehicle rules will only be for the Land Raiders for now. There is meant to be an Imperial Armour book: fires of cyrarus (Not spelt correctly) that is rumored to bring 30k AdMech vehicles into 40k. Anyone have an idea on how big Chapter Approved is going to be, in terms of pages ?

I would recommend Kr Multicases. They are really good and well worth it for the price.
