I recognize my lack of posting is pretty lame. I've recently moved to an area with a great game store and a good 40k/30k scene. I've dusted the boys off and gotten some games in. Here's a little of what i've been up to, also some teasers... more to come. -

[HH1.0] 30k Alpha Legion Tactics

I found your alpha legion army and updates at the right time. These are superb, the detail, battle damage, subtle effective conversions. I'm amazed at your paint scheme and execution. The transfers are also jaw dropping. I'm dipping my toes into the XXth in 30k and this is inspiring. Cheers

I just moved to Charlottesville from Texas. Longtime 40k player and i've got a ton of stuff to start up in HH but essentially no build or legion paint applied yet. I look at the End Games website and don't see anything about 40k on there. I'm used to my own table at home and have a good deal of terrain but now i'm in an apartment.

Thanks gang, i'll post the troopers soon. As for the color scheme I'm going to stick with urban camo for the vehicles regardless of the militia color scheme... Needed some anti-tank and had this unit sitting around collecting dust. It's also modular. An old Predator that's bothered me a bit. I added sloped armor to the hull... moving away from vehicles, which i have some fun building but not painting. I noticed some things to fix, gun barrels, basing, etc. I originally intended them to run with dual plasma-guns but added the meltaguns for flexibility. The Apothecary was intended to let me count them as slaanesh with feel no pain or nurgle T6. The lord/sgt has something of a axe/sword power weapon i guess i could run as a daemon weapon. I've barely played them in games so don't know how i would finish equipping them. until next time. -

Apologies about my little absence after resurrecting this thread. I have been working on projects, but playing no games. I've been out of 40k for a little bit and some of my models are in the phase where i could swing them over to HH or keep them with the 18th. More on that later. Here is a troop transport for my militia/cultists depending on how I choose to use them. I've waited about 10 months for the backordered wheeled kit to show up from chapterhouse. I only regret now that i have to make another like this one, and it took me a few weeks... Oh, and thanks Darkven for hitting me with the wake up and post bat. Daniel -
Awesome. so clean and regal and dangerous. Do you highlight your brass with silver?

I needed some air superiority and I hate the helturkey model. The dark angels craft came in a boxed set i picked up for some other projects and was the perfect opportunity to get an attack craft in my list. \ I wanted to keep with the theme of a possessed space marine attack craft. I went for a bunch of extra sensor spines and lenses over the craft to make it look self aware and perceptive. I added some extra cabling and exhaust to try and make it look like something more than the engines were burning fuel and active on this thing. Finally I switched the Dark Angel wings for some leathery bat wings and added flamstorms for the baleflamer and a gatling cannon for the autocannon. This is where i've slowed down with this model. I have some patching and molding to do in places but not many more changes in mind. C&C is welcome. Dan -

Not so much buffed characters, but astartes vs astartes. Face smashing, dirty, mud filled grappling over the future of mankind. Everyone has their own agenda and motivations in the heresy and the diversity is more evident there than 40k. Plus it's easier to love the common warrior/soldier and identify with the game and the hobby for me. I love putting my dudes on the table but when fighting some non astartes enemies the average CSM squad acts like a bucket of chum. IN the HH i get to keep my modeling love for power armor and they're meaningful on the table. I'm looking at some quiet, aloof, distant legions. One dark, one white. Two possible sides of a coin. This could always be misdirection brought to you by an old favorite of secrets and lies... many thanks! They're in some cases a little plainer than i'd like, but i'm committing to some ambitious painting that will make up for that. It had been too long. Even with the light comminication a few of us had on some other projects I kept carving away on little projects and daydreaming bigger ones. I'm happy to say the time has come where i'm set up to work again. The mantle was pulled from me ages ago. Some other notable companies have taken up the fight in beautiful ways. Heinrich and Darkven to just skim the surface. Be there soon. The degenerates you have all become lately is sickening in the Haunters absense. I would like to take this time to publicly thank the Mod team for allowing me to pull this thing back from the dead. It was archived and closed down with the last activity around 4 years ago. Thanks all of you who welcomed me back! Jim, the army initially started off as a way to keep all of the competetive chaos choices in the 5th edition dex flavorful and fluffy with counts as. after spending a ton of time creating a list i really liked with a ton of models i worked on forever it turned into stubbornly trying to make that old 5th marine heavy list work in 6th, and 7th. I was getting crushed in most of my games and it was disheartening to see all of the hard hobby work, as well as all of the fluff and love I worked into my guys lose their edge. Lately I'm breaking the mold in order to have a little more fun in games. There's always those models i will try and make work though. Like my dreadnought. As well as models that may never have a chance to play, like most of my raptors, cypher, terminators, etc. keep your eyes peeled. There's more in the pipeline. Dan -

I'm close to 30k. I'm sick and tired of the 40k carnival. the HH is very much apealing to me lately as it's all mostly meq. That and all the heroic reasons. I am waiting a bit on some legions that haven't been released yet. I'm drawn to a few that aren't out yet and i'm waiting to see how they look. -

Don't think of it as a noise weapon, more of a souped up, high velocity, high rate of fire heavy bolter with armor piercing incendiary munitions. -
