Some more slow progress chipping away at the Armageddon box of marines. the last few days has been focused on getting the landspeeder done. Just need to finish the base and do a few touchups and then I'm calling this tabletop ready.

Slow progress so far but managed to get the first 5 intercessors to a tabletop paint job. Just the bases left to do but working the landspeeder first. More to come.

I wish I was that talented. I used one of the old firstborn vanguard vets pads with the Aquila sculpted on with the heads trimmed off. Then managed with my limited skill to sculpted a tiny owl head to create a master to use with blue stuff and made a press mould.

Sorry for the slow posting, I had an MESBG tournament at the weekend so was doing some last minute painting last week to get ready. However, now I can focus on 40k and I've managed to get the Space Marines needed for the new combat patrol set built. Just need to add the chapter badge to the intercessor squad and add some more basing bits and they will be ready to prime. Then I'll make a start on the rest of the marines from the Armageddon box.

Objective secured, now it's time to get building the first recruits for the chapter.

I have returned brothers! After a long hiatus from 40k (play MESBG mainly) I have decided to give it another crack with 11th edition around the corner. My friends and I are organising a slow grow and this thread will document my WIP as I gradually build my starting 500 points and above. For such an occasion it only feels right to push the hobby boat out and culminate around 10 years worth of ideas and create my own Chapter. The key features I wanted was their main colour to be Citadel's Dark Reaper base paint and their chapter badge to be an owl. I'll collate my ideas for their background but in the meantime using a little AI magic I present to you: While I wait for the Armageddon launch box I've painted up a spare Primaris marine as a test model and personal I'm delighted with how it's turned out. Think you miss read it mate. He is stating that there isn't any point in the force axe as anything you need AP2 against will batter your poor librarian before he gets a swing in. It's better to be S6 at initiative and take on things vulnerable to instant death.

Will need to give The colour a try as an alternative to my usual red scales. Did you make the scales out of GS or is it from another kit?

What an amazing squad, they look great! How did you do that little patch of scaled skin on the salamander marine?
