My scheme is quite different, in that it's white armor, but here it is [all colors are Vallejo]: Armor: White Prime Model Color - Offwhite heavy Black wash an intentionally streaky, not-quite-drybrushed layer of Offwhite again Metal Trim: Gunmetal Chainmail Plata Silver ... and then rusted with Beasty Brown followed by Parasite Brown Gooey Highlights: A mixed, very dark green Dead Flesh And here's a pic:

Hey, we use the same picture as our avatar! Good taste. Nice work on those new Oblits. I just put some together (standard everything), and man, all those metal bits were a pain. I'll go with a conversion if I end up making any more. Your Lord with the Master of the Fleet body works nicely. The scheme washed out most of the loyalist nonsense, and the little conversions work well (the three circles, etc.). I really like your DP, too. Great combo of the old Nurgle one, and the new plastics.

The skin patches on the Land Raider really make it pop. I'm hoping you're planning on doing the same with all that detail on the Plague Reaper. Those'll be some good looking tanks together.

I'm really diggin' your army! Your conversions are quite inspirational. I don't have as much conversion work in my Plague Marines (plenty elsewhere in the army), but I did plan on re-doing a squad that was converted and painted about 3 - 4 years ago (skillz have improved), and I might have to steal some of your ideas. Keep it coming. I'm eager to see what you'll do with a Daemon Prince.

You've actually got the older FW Dread torso. The banner guy was their second Death Guard one. FW loves Nurgle!

I really like the sores on the Rhino. Great job on the Dread, too. I was thinking of doing something similar with the older FW Dread body having the newer mutated arm (I've already got the new torso with the chainfist). It's a shame the Sorc isn't so useful in games. He's such a cool model. I plan on picking him up eventually just in case Lords/Sorcs come back strong in a future Chaos 'dex. Keep it going, though. It took me a few years to get my army (mostly) painted, so I know your plight. Join the Calls of Chaos painting things as they come up on these boards. I know the last one helped me stay motivated to get a bunch done.

Yes, he's coming along nicely. I've been waiting to see more conversions of this model. So many people seem to be taking him as is - I only did some very minor conversions myself - since he's such a nice model. I really like the shoulder pads, and the right gauntlet in particular.

Nice. I've had this idea for quite a while myself, but I still wanted to stick with the actual Raptor models. I'll likely wait until GW finally gets around to making them plastic, though. I'll be interested to see more of these, and how it all comes together.

That's really neat. That's a nice blade on there, and the whole top part looks like it fit perfectly together. How are you casting it? That might get a little weird with the wood handle there.

I know you mentioned just a few weapons you have available, but don't forget to consider the missile launcher. It's cheap, versatile, and fragging your Plague Marines doesn't tend to kill any. One can easily convert a Havoc Launcher for this purpose if you don't want to shell out for the actual bit, too. That's what I did on mine.

The rust I do is fairly simple. Firstly, I pay no mind to metallics going on grainy as they sometimes do. Not having a smooth layer there helps the rust colored layers. I follow up with a coat of Vallejo's Beasty Brown, and then top it off with Parasite Brown (that's the more orange color). I just dab, or stipple smaller areas, and kinda drybrush larger surfaces (like the spheres on the backpack). Quiet basic, really, but it serves me well.

So I got a bunch done during the Call to Chaos, and now that that's all wrapped up, I finally finished the champ for my FW squad. Just wanted to show him off, since I had the rest of the squad here. Here he is: I'm quite happy with how his head turned out. It's oddly a little cartoony looking, but I thought the layering was accomplished nicely (grayed flesh tones over lich purple).

Nice solution with the Defilers extra CCWs. That's a crazy number of limbs! I really like what you've assembled with your Chosen, too. Might be a tough unit to use on the table as you have them, but they look great.
