  1. Been on my mind to do this for a while. Legs + heads are from Victoria miniatures, the rest is Anvil. Painting tartan is hard.
  2. The elf idea is a good one. Will definately be looking at them. Thanks guys.
  3. Nothing screams techno-barbarian more than utterly impractical solutions to problems that should never have arisen in the first place. I'd definately add the fuel line. And fuel tanks. Big ones.
  4. uh, you would need to keep glass droppers far, far out of the reach of dogs and children. If the dog chews on glass then it's not going to be pretty. And if you're going to all the effort of keeping your stuff out of harms way, then why not... you know, do that in the first place and save yourself the hassle?
  5. Fully expected to hate this, but came away quite impressed. Bravo.
  6. Planning a new squad. Here's a weakass photoshop job to show the general plan. I need some help sourcing some bitz. First, I'd like to find some guard scale bronze age swords, something like this Ewart Park blade here. Or, failing that, a guard-sized gladius set. Shields as well (CC guard? Madness!). Trying to decide if I want to embrace the insanity and go with wooden shields or not... suggestions for what would fit are welcome. The gun shown is a bit too techy for me. Waiting for Anvil to release their AK47 and see how they look, but feel free to propose alternatives. I'm also not 100% married to the idea of those heads, but they are the best I could come up with. Again, suggestions are welcome. Uh, that's it. This is my first foray into the lands of third-party bitz, so be kind and help me out peoples.
  7. I've been told that Love can Bloom, yes.
  8. Might be a long wait. If I remember correctly, there has never been one. The Titan Legions box set came with 1 Imperator to 2 Mega Gargants, and they considered that to be a fair fight. I don't even recall reading about anything in the fluff that was as big as an Imperator; maybe a couple of Ork Gargants would come close, the Godbreaker of Armageddon wouldn't be far off it.
  9. As a dabbling appreciator of gothic architecture, I read 'flying buttress' and can't help but nod in smug approval. Can't help but notice yours are upside down tho. Even the maddest cathedral didn't think of *that*.
  10. I thought about knocking up a sqaud of Squats as well. Sisters of Silence come with Umbra (rogue trader pattern) plastic bolters you could probably snag reasonably cheaply on ebay. Or forge world do a set. It's a fiddly set of conversions to do, but the end result looks pretty 80's. And since squats are the most 80's army out there, I'd say it would be totally worth it.
  11. I am particularly looking forward to see what you'll do with the blue beakies. Got a soft spot for that gloriously 80's colour scheme. Also... dunno how the rules work, but I was under the impression that primaris can't ride in a Rhino?
  12. It is always a pleasure to watch those mad, mad gears turn in your mind as you work through a project. Inspiring stuff as always.
  13. REINFORCEMENTS! (I'm a slow painter) So that's one squad of cultists / guardsmen done, one scout squad, and one combat squad of tacticals. Which is the furthest I have ever managed to get when doing an army, so that's good I guess. And, just for fun / on the off-chance I ever get around to making that :cuss-tier codex I am always promising to write one day...
  14. I find those frilly scout arms to be pleasing to my nostalgia cluster.
  15. Those scouts are insanely good. Loving the old-skool heavy weapon postures.
