  1. So so so soooooo pretty. Know thats not the response you are looking for for a Grimdark army like the Dark Angels but they really are just lovely.
  2. I have arrived. My armies should hopefully get here in the next 3 - 4 weeks so can start gaming :tu:
  3. Final destination decided. I will be living in Mebane which is close to Burlington.
  4. Well there's one opponent sorted :) Going to be a while before I can play. My minis will be in transit for a minimum of 3 weeks after I leave London. *sigh* - almost a month with no wargaming ;)
  5. I live in Burlington. Been playing 40k off and on for about 10 years. Lost touch with the local gaming community, not even sure if anyone is still playing There's a number of folks (me included) who come out to the local Hobbytown USA in Greensboro. Address 40K (and other minis, but usually just 40K) on Tuesdays and Saturdays. There's limited space, especially on Saturdays. Also check out the GameOnGW Yahoo group, it's where a number of locals check in. I will have to take note of these as I am moving to Elon in a few weeks from the UK. Anyone know of any clubs near to Elon?
  6. Kansas City at the moment though that could change if she gets a job out of the city.
  7. I will have to revisit this thread in about 6 weeks when I relocate from the UK to Kansas with my wife. Of course I wont have my army for about 3-6 weeks after that as they cross the ocean :P
  8. Actually, yes they can. Deploying in cover, 12" away from the enemy- D6 move, D6 Fleet, 6 Assault- up to an 18" charge. I admit, its tricky to have the terrain handy that you can do it with, but its certainly possible with a well placed ruin or hill. Or, as in the case I saw it- the 1 intact bunker on the battlefield, that his opponent obviously intended to move his heavy weapon squad into. Meh, im gunna have to respectfully disagree, you have to be out of LOS of the opponents entire army.. in most cases its not a viable tactic I agree with GC08 especially since to do so means you would have to set up behind cover which would mean moving through it. This would give you a 5/6 chance of falling short. This also disregards the fact that you have to deploy 18 inches away. Even if you move 18 you should, in theory still be out of range as you cant deploy within 18inches. Meaning you have to deploy 18.000000000001 away. Out of charge range. Back on topic. The way I look at it is that this isnt a hidden rule that has suddenly popped up. If all the people running shrike in all those pick up games and in all those tournies are running shrike with a unit and infiltrating on turn one I cant see them ALL being wrong. The rules are clear. Shrike and models in his squad benifit from the infiltrate rule. You can declare that he is attached to a squad before deployment which makes that "his" squad. Cant be much clearer.
  9. Must be a change going from the UK to back home. I was there last year and the prices on minis alone!!!! Something like R480 for a box of tac marines at Slaters in East London.
  10. Nice, very nice indeed. Looking forward to seeing some more stuff soon.
  11. Don't really understand what you are looking for. You can get two of those heavy bolters with belts with the Devastor box I think he is looking for a tutorial on how to make one so he can repose the heavy bolter. Devestator Belt limits you to one position generally.
  12. I see you lost the spikes off his halo as well. I eventually cut them all off and left the arch as his ornamentation.
