Their icon will be the fist, and they will have much more of a greco-roman feel to them once I get to the freehand bits.

I am only painting the one marine at the moment, and he is still WIP, but I hope to make these guys my 8th edition army. I will be retooling their background lore a bit too for anyone who remembers this Chapter. The basic idea is that the entire remaining elements of the Chapter (half of them were killed defending their now completely ravaged homeworld of Archea from a Tyranid splinter fleet) were in warp transit to the Cadian front when the Great Rift split the galaxy in twain. The majority of the fleet was destroyed, torn apart in the aetheric energies. Those that survived were "boarded" by demonic hosts. The Battle-Barge of the 4th company under the command of Captain Agamon suffered greatly, but eventually was spit out of the Warp. Hearing of Guilliman's return and the wonder being wrought on Terra by him and Cawl, the remaining Sons of Dorn set out for the throneworld. After much fighting they arrived at less then 50 marines strong, unsure if any other members of the Chapter escaped the Warp as well. Agamon requested an audience with Guilliman and made his case for being included in the Primaris project. The remaining Sons of Dorn were give the surgeries to become Primaris Marines, while the rest of their numbers started to be filled out by the new marines from Mars. Now, with their chapter slowly being replenished and at fighting strength once again, the Sons of Dorn have ventured into the Imperium Nihlus, cut off from the light of the Astronomican, to bring the Emperor's retribution to those who seek to prey on the masses of humanity isolated from Terra, and, perhaps, find any signs of other survivors from their Chapter's catastrophe... I will be fleshing it out more as I move along. I imagine their branch of the crusade to have other elements of the Imperium's armies as well, including a contingent of Custodes, since I want to paint some

This thread is pure awesome, very strong conversions and painting. As for the bases I vote for a war torn Egyptian city theme, sort of like if they were fighting on Prospero or something... :)

Its a pain, plain and simple. I have one and nothing fits together right. Its not just that it is warped slightly, which the main fuselage was. Its that every piece seems to be at a slightly different scale to each other, by only a few millimeters. But when you are trying to make stuff fit together and there are interior pieces, doesn't work so well. I still like mine, and if you want it then get it. Just be prepared for some major work.

Hey everyone, I just moved to North Austin about a month ago and I know Dragon's Lair is the place to go, unfortunately evenings are not the best time for me, which seems to be the time most people are there for games. My jobs are either early morning or evenings as well as other commitments during the evening. So I'm wondering if there is anyone who games around Austin in the afternoon, like noon till 6? I have been itching for a game, starting to lose motivation to paint my minis if they aren't going to see battle, ya know? So if anyone wants to get a game in PM me. Thanks.

I have started an Astral Claw army. So far i have 5 Assault Marines done, 2 scouts and I am starting in on my first Tactical squad. I have 5 Tacs assembled and my captain (for when i decide not to use Huron, like in lower point games) also put together. I am going to start a thread on it soon...im just lazy with taking pictures. My final list im hoping to have Huron Chaplain with jump pack 5 thunder hammer termies Dreadnought with drop pod 2 tac squads with drop pods 5 man scout squad with land speeder storm 10 man assault squad 3 landspeeders 7 bikes plus an attack bike I also have a land raider and predator sitting around but haven't decided if I want to make them Astral Claws or put them in my Sons of Dorn, same goes for my Thunderhawk, only the interior is painted, so at this stage it would be easy for me to switch it.

Hey everyone, I may be moving to Austin in a month or two (currently up in Michigan). I was wondering what the gaming scene is there? I know there are quite a few stores there and a lot of GW stores in Houston and Dallas but I was wondering if there were any good 40k Gaming Groups. I love creating rivalries with other armies and players on a consistent basis. Im more of a fluff gamer and love the story and campaign etc. I play Space marines, Death Guard, Demons, possibly Guard over the next year and also like BFG and Epic.
