  1. Looks great, and as a full army will be able to be proud of
  2. What a cool project. Congrats on finishing!
  3. Sometimes when I’m stuck on something like that I’ll google something like “knight crests” and look at the historical/medieval color combos or what artists have come up with. Will often spark something. Doing that just now for example I was struck by a yellow/teal combo and reminded how blue and white are always solid.
  4. Yeah I ran out of leadbelcher spray as well. Made the mistake of trying to use the dregs of the can and added some great texture to some reaver weapon arms. I’m glad yours are turning out. Always liked your scheme!
  5. Looking good man. I really like the color blend you chose. Now comes the less exciting parts!
  6. The ruins look great! I’ve been procrastinating the basing for my Legio as it just feels like a lot of effort at the moment. You can sneak extra depth out of the craters by cutting a hole through the base then gluing some plasticard to the bottom. It adds a bit more variation and justifies using some broken pipes or water effects if you have them.
  7. Little patches of snow melt on your bases would really sell the Alaska camo for me. That said the models look excellent. You have a distinct painting style that is great. I can’t wait to see more
  8. I’m glad he let you too. Looks great.
  9. Oooo, just saw your other thread and you really can paint Haha. An idea that you might be able to pull off would be to keep the face porcelain and do the chaos star as a reflection in the eyes.
  10. I did a fully converted knight army as well, and you are in the phase I enjoyed the most. No matter how slow it feels, just remember you only have to do like 4 of them so it still doesn’t take as long as to convert a whole army of anything else
  11. For me what makes the face stand out is the softness/blankness of the features and lack of hard angles. I’d have to see it, but I’d be worried the star would detract from that. Maybe it’s a feature you could add in the painting stage. Maybe even like in the meme Peter sodes posted on page 1. Just my opinion.
  12. I like the creep factor without the crown. Very cool project.
  13. I would keep the Astrogranite and stirland, so they all go together but what might look pretty awesome is if you had a few Khorne hounds running around his legs like hunting dogs.
  14. Sounds like a lot of work. Thanks Brother Cambrius.
  15. Better late than never ...I hope. I Frostbit3, vow upon the honour of my chapter, the Soul Takers, to write about a DIY chapter in the Liber Astartes by November 1st to a complete standard. I vow to also complete 1 miniature of a chapter randomly assigned to me before January 1st, 2020. I can paint standard and primaris marines. If pushed I could probably scrounge bits for chaos.
