  1. Thanks! Yeah, any little details like this on a snow themed base makes a big difference.
  2. Great kitbash. I would know who that was without you telling me, which is the key to any project like this I feel. I had thought about building my own as well, but I didn't have nearly enough good bits for it.
  3. This is a very short and simple tutorial I wrote for creating icicles. I show how to create them for a model's base, but it can easily be expanded to something larger, like for terrain pieces. You could even use the same technique to create stalactites or stalagmites with some paint.
  4. I put together a tutorial on painting a power sword. The power sword I did was for my counts-as Abaddon, and I did it in pink. While pink may not be everyone's go-to power sword color , the technique remains the same regardless of color, an is easy enough to change. Anyway, I hope someone finds this useful! 5. I've got a TON of HQs, but here's the most recent one I had done - Chaos Lord on a Steed of Slaanesh. This was at the end of 7th, so the flamer was the Burning Brand of Skalathrax. I do have some more shots on my blog, I just didn't want to overload this.
  6. Every now and then when I get the right game (great opponent with a fully painted army), I do a comic book style battle report. I got in such a game this past week with my Chaos Marines against Grey Knights. I'm still working on the process with these reports (always learning), but I feel it came out pretty well. I hope you enjoy! https://creativetwilight.com/comic-book-chaos-marines-grey-knights/
  7. Much appreciated. I spent way too much time working on that eye.
  8. Thank you. It's easy to be bold when you've got a used and damaged model. I don't think I'd dare do that to a brand new Land Raider kit ;) The earthworm color could definitely work. Thanks for that.
  9. I got this Land Raider used and in very rough shape. Instead of fixing it properly, I decided to add a lot of daemonic flesh and other elements of Chaos. I have a shot of the sculpting work prior to putting on paint here if anyone is interested: https://creativetwilight.com/chaos-land-raider-conversion-6/ Anyway, I've made some reasonable progress on painting it and figured I'd share it. Here's a few more since taking the previous shots where I've worked on the Tzeentch eye on the top, and the door for Khorne. I'll be working on other smaller details next, like the tentacles, but I'm not sure what color to do those. The vehicle also has, though not painted/shown, elements for Slaanesh and Nurgle. I want the tentacles god neutral, which is a bit tricky I'm finding. Total open to ideas.
  10. The Disciples of Twilight are a renegade warband who are undivided followers of Chaos.
