  1. I mean it may say 1500 pts but honestly everyone is just going to use that as only a guideline. They've done lower point ZM since 1st edition so I wouldn't get hung up over 1.5k points listing. Sure, 750pt games will be weird but the main difference between HH players and 40k players is the willingness to adjust for the purpose of fun.

  3. I don't NEED anything in this box but I definitely WANT the contents. Tough choice but not sure I'll be buying. Wish this came out closer to the original release because I'd love to offload some mk6 for mk4. I also parrot "MK 5 when???". It's heresy armor for a reason! Regarding fingers: My brain did not think it was a fifth finger for what it's worth. /shrug
  4. Had a lengthy sickness so I wasn't able to get these out for March or April. Blood Angel IXth Legion Angel Tears
  5. 94th is supposed to be where Aster commands, yeah. I physically have both Aster and Sanguinius but haven't decided when to start painting them. I haven't played 3rd ed. yet for "reasons". Not that I am opposed to it but some of the needless complications aren't helping. So technically 2nd edition is what I mainly play only because I have not yet played 3rd. Edition did have an Impact and threw a lot of issues on my plate for units. but over time they reintroduced most of what I had lost initially. 3rd is kind of a mess right now.
  6. Hi CKA. Thanks for the (many) likes. To answer questions: It's an inferno pistol on the sergeant of the squad. There is kind of a plan but it's not like a specific goal per se. So I generally pick units that prefer close combat in a ZM environment. The exception being that they're still a Legion and will have a decent amount of Tactical units. But you will notice that where CCW are allowed, I tend to have them mounted. Additionally, I am leaning a lot towards the 94th company even if the general paint scheme is a bit all over the place. That means a bit more destroyer presence despite BA's semi-aversion to that type of nasty warfare. Thus inclusion of some Ofanim in my ranks since the company is already on notice for being rowdier than most. That said, I have nearly finished the first half of the army. I have only a few units left to go through. The second half would likely be geared more towards late heresy era so a lot less volkite/tech gear. That and it would use the re-scaled stuff exclusively as well as more Inductii inclusions. I also haven't touched any vehicles since I have mostly played ZM and vehicles aren't available. Not sure how I want to tackle tanks given that I don't have an air brush to simplify my process nor have I developed a process to include Oil based weathering.

  10. No, that is not what I am claiming. I used a double quote because saying something is elite has more than one connotations: Elite as in the best of the best or Elite as in very limited and specialized etc. Veteran Sergeants and Veteran Marines were written for a long time as generally being part of the first company. It's the reason they may have terminator honors and have the first company "skull" symbol instead of a tactical arrow or anything else. This hasn't changed for at least two decades. Veterans are just marines from the 1st company. They can fill any role they need when outside the 1st company. My point being that an Elite slot Force Org choice shouldn't assume a 3-6 model unit just because they fill an elite slot or come from an elite company. It was clearly pointed out that the rumor that Vanguard Vets are going to be 5 man squads was the reason the rumor was false. I point out that Stern/Vanguard vets aren't dedicated units in the traditional sense but are veterans "on loan" from the 1st company. Meanwhile other 3-6 model units tend to be more dedicated than either Sternguard/Vanguard vets and thus are more limited in squad size. Bladeguard being a good example since they're a dedicated role with models specifically from the 1st company. As usual, rumors are rumors so everyone is free to believe whatever they want. However I personally believe them since Vanguards are the melee counter part to Sternguard since at least 5th edition so they're likely to remain a squad of 5-10.
