@Alcyon: That's some Iron Hands lvl of cold hard logic that I can't argue against. What do you feel about Melta or PG bikers or assault hellblasters on foot to go along the LC devs? Would they be competitive vs another dev squad next to the 4x LC's and captain?

Tell that to the Iron Hands, Minotaurs, and Red Scorpions. All three would grind normal humans into the meat grinder for victory, and the latter two would slaughter loyal/renegade Astartes for the chance to pick up their equipment.

I finally get my LR with an Avenger Mega Bolter. Is it odd I also want a regular LC land raider with 12 cap again? I wonder if we will have an option for turreted weapons.

Yeah, but their mutation is not being witches. I'd figure you could classify that as a blessing instead of a mutation.

I don't know why GW doesn't make plastic Spartan-chassis tanks, or even Sicarans. They'd be popular and make tons of money. It only makes sense that they're holding out so they can give one to Primaris, because they've already made their Imperial Knights sales and those aren't really a Marine unit. We have plastic MkIV tac boxes now and unique rules for the different models of terminator armor in plastic. I still hope anything can happen and we get plastic Spartans somehow.

I want to try out the Hellbaster squad with an Apothecary and/or Captain. Rerolls and revives for a bubble instead of a single attached unit? Oh hell-blaster yeah! If I get any intercessors, they will probably be converted into Lieutenants, captains, and librarians because I'm not paying $35 for one librarian no matter how bad I want it. I'm not impressed with the pre-codex intercessors right now. Maybe they will be killer units once they get chapter tactics and such, but as it stands I'm not taking them. I would also like to have a unit of Inceptors, because I've always wanted a unit of assault marines with bolters or stormbolters. Inceptors take that dream and powercreeps the heck out of it. I'm interested to see if the Reivers will attack 3 times vs having 3 attacks. A unit of Honor Guard and Reivers escorting a chappy, libby, or special character sounds cheap-ish and fun.

I'm guessing one Primarch and Legion was mutated beyond saving, heck, maybe it was a psyker mutation that where popping out daemons like bubblewrap? Anyway: Purged The other one probably raised an army or turned his legion against the Emperor. Maybe xenos, maybe they where technologically advanced humans with "men of iron" or "men of stone" who refused to integrate with the Imperium? Maybe the Primarch's legion got divided up among UM's and others and didn't fight, but it would be pretty cruel/grimdark if they got split between SW and UM to destroy the army their Primarch raised. 3rd and completely unfounded idea: The lost Primarch landed on a world populated by renegade thunderwarriors who secretly conquered or colonized a world to hide from the Emperor. That would have been a heck of a fight when the Emperor made that landing to reunite with his lost boy who took up with the "obsolete" but stronger and more violent discards of humanity. Bonus theory: combine #2 and #3 and you have one heck of a campaign/crusade setting.

I started playing Drop Assault on my phone, real slow start playing around with two terminators and four tactical marines after you have 3 predator tanks and 2 squads of tac marines. I don't know if I can stick with it long enough to see where it goes. I got my Custodes in the mail and am now clipping/cleaning them for assembly. I will combine the extra parts with my Scibor Roman Legion parts to pad out my squad.

I unlocked Honey Bee from Warhammer: Freeblade and ordered my first Custode squad off of ebay.

I'm struggling with the crisis of having enough resin, plastic, AND metal pieces to make plenty of stuff yet still wanting to buy more, even though I'm broke and still fighting procrastination of assembling anything... *hits head on desk* ...I stole plenty of idea pics from the Hall of Honor and WIP threads too...

Last night I unlocked a BattleBarge in Battlefleet Gothic:Armada and I dug out my WIP marines. Hopefully I'll have some MK II / III special weapon bikers and librarians assembled and ready to paint tonight.

My ML2 biker Librarian's right arm's magnet is installed. I just need to give his left arm a pad and to make an awesome right hand "force sword" out of a dark angel sword. I WILL wash my resin MKIV land speeder crew and assemble my magnetized gunner and commander crest driver.

I'm compiling all the photo's I've stolen over my years of lurking. I've raided the B&C WiP section for ideas for the first time in over a year, keep them coming! I did my internetz research on fluffy rank markings for my WiP librarians: Deathwatch left arm lexicanum, biker Codicier right pad, TDA with Crux left pad, and Epistolary symbol right pad Sevrin Loth kitbash.

With allies rules, expect to see AV:12 fliers a lot more in 6ed. Lascannons get +1 on the damage table(AP2) giving twice the chance to explode. Glancing a target to death is now HARDER because you can't stunlock, wreck, or explode anymore. Whatever you glance will be able to shoot back or continue to move forward to drop it's contents. I think the Stormtalon with skyhammer is a good replacement for Rifleman dreads, but the S:7 missiles won't do any better than the S:7 flak missiles that all ML's will get to purchase. You'll of course have better range and access to BS:5.

With allies, can you use talons to escort C:BA or C:GK StormRavens? I've always wanted to make a space marine flying circus out of typhoon squadron, land speeder storm, storm tallon, and storm raven. I can drop pod, teleport, or scout the rest of the army.
