Thank you again - it means so much !!! I also know that you may be tired seeing so many Lions out there recently but I have to share what I did to mine few days ago: I wasn't really happy with how his cape and robes turned out. I think that I overdid the pattern on the cape and robes. He didn't quite fit with the rest of my army due to the lighter hues of the green. I just had to repaint all the green. Hi Guys! It took me over 3 weeks to finish the Primarch. Lion is such a complex build with all those floating robes and details that I had to literally paint every part separately to get everywhere with paint. I have to say now after completing it that I really love the sculpt ! Fantastic addition to any Dark Angel/Successor army! 30k vs 40k: and with His Sons: "For the Lion" has completely new meaning now :) Sooo glad that He has finally returned !

Exactly. I would also add drops of black to further shade the colour. For highlights use pallid wych flesh instead of ushabti bone to match the colour from the game.

Brothers, I managed to grab the Lion! One of my local gaming stores had one last box ! Can't express how happy I am now. Didn't get the ltd editions of the AoO book V and Lion novel but at least I got our Primarch! Assembly in progress :)

I feel your pain! I got ltd AoO: Lion Book, ltd son of the forest book and Lion himself in my cart and when I started to checkout all crushed and I couldn't do anything for 35 minutes! All sold out now. I am sooooo frustrated. Thank you for nothing GW !

Thank you all guys so much !!! Lion is at the top of my ‘to do’ list. I plan to preorder him this Saturday. I was not so keen on his aged look at first but in time I started to get used to his new appearance and now I know that I will be painting him bareheaded

I thought at first that I will swap his banner with the old metal one and put watcher on separate base but after cleaning the parts I changed my mind. Now it's time to hunt some Fallen! Well, to me he looks sooo old that he definietely needs primaris treatment to survive in 40k. ...and I can't unsee it now:

I don't know what to say. I am dissapointed. I mean I like the model, his pose, watchers, gear etc. but his bare head is not exactly what I expected. I hoped to see the same face as in the glorious 30k model but with much longer hair and maybe longer beard. Now I see a very old man that is too old to raise a sword.... the cover on the AoO book is also horrible. Good to see that there is a hooded head option but I soooo hoped to see him with his long blonde hair without pony tail and although i know he is literally 10k years older i wanted him to look younger ~middle aged !

I had the same feelings as Chaplain Raeven at the begining but I started to like the model. The only thing that look a little awkward to me is the banner, Original miniature has enormous banner that shrunks already tiny azrael even more (with which i never had a problem btw). The banner on the new azzy is too small for my taste. every time i look at him I have a feeling that it should be bigger to match the bulkier size of the miniature. I will definietely buy the model - maybe I will swap the new banner with the original one and probably will make a separate base for the Watcher. All in all it was worth waiting !

Thank you guys ! Yes, I plan to add Leviathan to my army but I think I will paint Marduk and Corswain before this dread-beast :D Interemptor squad and some beakies with new rhinos and tanks are also on my 30k list. sooo many choices these days :)
