  1. Barrels look shiny! For the heat discoloration I would stick with the standard sepia>magenta>midnight blue transition. Chrome is very susceptible to heat. Search for chrome exhaust tip images for great references. The heat shroud will also discolor. Otherwise it's not doing the intended job.
  2. Kraft Klash 2025 Theme "Deff From Above" Kraft Klash 2025 Entry "Revenge of the Grots" Grugbog was vicious, even for a Runtherd. He whipped and shocked any grot that even looked at him. He took pride in drawing blood with each whip crack. Finally the grots had had enough. They plotted in secret, talking of "revolushun". Snigdumm wanted to stab Grugbog in his sleep. Snogtox wanted to shoot him in the back. Finally Snistrak stepped forward and said "We's gotta blow 'im up but good! BOOM!" This was Snistrak's solution for everything, as he loved his bombs and dynamite. But the rest glommed onto the idea and the revolushun was underway. Pilfering parts from wrecked jet and a giant 'umie bomb, they cobbled together a flying explosive contraption that was capable of levelling a fortress. This wasn't quite good enough for the likes of Grugbog, so they loaded it with every other bomb and missile they could scrounge. A pair of big shootas for good measure and some scrap tankbusta mines completed the job.It was far too heavy to fly, but the grots cared little for such trivial matters. Revenge was on the menu, and they planned to eat it all! The day came, and the rest of the grots planned their distraction to keep Grugbog busy and in one place long enough for Snistrak and Snogtox to deliver the revolushun's sweet revenge. The thought never crossed their minds that there was no way to survive the impending devastation they were about to unleash...
  3. Did we ever get a results summary for this year's CTA? I don't recall seeing one and a search doesn't come up with one.
  4. A couple of toothpicks jammed in there and clipped off will do the job.
  5. Looks to me like you found a great use for what to me is a horrible kit. I prefer the second option, although I think the Centurion pads need to be brought up a bit higher to hearken back to the original Centurion silhouette. Possibly move the missile launchers to the top? That's a pretty common thing to do.
  6. My Xenos Artificer and MotF entry: Group Shot(s):
  7. Vow complete such as it is. Jawbreaka nearly broke me. I finally had to call it good enough and rush to complete the rest. Life lessons learned. (Again.) Overall vow: Individual Close ups: Jawbreaka Painboy and Grot Assistant Weirdboy 1 Weirdboy 2 Weirdboy 3 Big Mek with SAG and Grot Oiler 1 Big Mek with SAG and Grot Oiler 2 Definitely not up to the quality of the first vow, but it's complete and not a fail. Have to take the win where I can get it after this meat grinder of a contest.
  8. Looks a lot better than the stock Taurox. I always thought it was a goofy and impractical vehicle.
  9. Try Adobe Lightroom. It's for a free version.
  10. Jawbreaka! Inspiration for the conversion was based on the album cover for Judas Priest - Defenders of the Faith.
  11. Weirdboy #1 Weirdboy #2 Weirdboy #3
  12. Closeups of the prints in this second vow: Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun #1 and Grot Assistant Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun #2 and Grot Assistant Painboy with Grot Orderly
  13. @Dr_Ruminahui The closest things I have to compare it to are a modified 6x6 Battlewagon and a Megatrakk proxy. Like I said, I'm not stressed about it. It is a lot of work for a 5 point model though. ;)
  14. Now that I'm rested up a bit I'm back again for my second CTA 2025 vow. Everything from here on out will be 3D printed. I just can't force myself to paint more plastic Orks when I have these lovely sculpts.
  15. I, YoungWolf7, heed the Call to Arms and pledge to paint the following models for 38 points for the Glory of the Orks subfaction and the Xenos Stronghold on or before 15th September 2025, or bear the badge of failure until year's end. Vow #2: 1 Jawbreaka (Megatrakk Scrapjet proxy?) [5] ***Master of the Forge Entry*** 2 Ork Big Meks w/ Shokk Attack Guns [10] 2 Grot Assistants [2] 1 Ork Painboy [5] 1 Grot Orderly [1] 3 Weirdboys [15] [38 points total] Jawbreaka doesn't really fit into proxying any predefined Ork model. Closest thing would really be a Battlewagon/Gunwagon, but it's on the same size base as a buggy. Buggies are all 5 points, the Battlewagon is listed as 6. I'm not going to quibble over a single point.
