  1. So terminators die just as fast in 11th as 10th? cool cool cool
  2. I'm pretty ok with most of our points. Not the greatest things i've ever seen but nice to see wolf scouts down a bit and at least cheaper options on some things if you leave the shields at home (although you still probably take shields 9/10 times so they stay about the same) time to brew some lists. If purge ends up the defacto go to meta disposition I am second guessing msu disruption lists but idk, will just have to see how the dice roll
  3. Thats sort of where i am with the BS+Ful one, need to see speeder costs and enhance/upgrades before I really give it anymore thought
  4. While I agree the Grey Hunter split should be a datasheet fix, I will play around with it. Saga of the Greatwolf + Veterans of the Fang with 4x5 grey hunters at 15 oc each to just keep pushing onto objectives, looking at Disruption but need to deep dive all of them more. One problem I've faced in 10th is just running out of assets so fast so I'm looking to play more msu options to start 11th. If it falls flat I've got the terms to fall back on for sure. 10 assault terms with an ancient and +1OC enhance could be cool. I've also seen some chatter about Beastslayer + Fulguris being a neat alpha strike kind of list, will keep an eye out. The hopium is kicking in, lets see if we can climb out of the 40ish bottom barrel percent bracket for this edition
  5. Well I went to my last GT for 10th and had about the same experience I've had most of this edition... 0-3 day one and dropped and drove home. All great opponents and good event I just couldn't take another day getting my teeth kicked in you know? I took Saga of the Greatwolf -Logan -Bjorn -Arjac -Wolf Priest -ten WG terms -five WG terms -six Headtakers -five fenrisian wolves -scout squad -intercessors -2x5 JPI -2x Lancers -Vindicator Round 1 CSM Renegade Raiders, lost 59-65- msu corsairs/legionares, rhinos, havocs, predators, disco lord and Huron with the gang that punked Logan last turn pretty well. painful stuff. 5 corsairs held up a lancer on the far left for multiple turns, Arjac terminator brick made it on to his home obj after a rapid ingress but then got mogged by juiced up chaos lord and gang. I don't play a lot of csm so wasn't really sure what or how to approach this one other than full send it. Headtakers did smack the disco lord pretty good so that was neat I guess. Round 2 Death Guard VV, lost 64-81 - 6 man deathshroud with Typhus, 2x3 deathshroud with a guy (idr name), predators, blight haulers, drones, poxes. He said he normally plays a different detachment and just wanted to do something different. This game was just terminators and DS knocking heads for infinity fights that went no where while my tanks got mogged by his armor. We basically swapped home objectives last turn with Deathshroud getting on to mine and Arjac and a few remnant terms managing to finally emerge from the infinity fight and advance on to his. Round 3 SM Shadowmark Talon, lost 60-81 - both bird boys, inceptors, jpi, bgv brick with hunters instinct, predators, balli, speeder and a land raider. BGV brick did our old stormlance trick of coming in a turn early and making it onto my home objective and holding up Logan and Bjorn for 2 turns after they mucked up my intercessors and a squad of jpi. The invuls were insane... Arjac and his boys came down on my natural expansion and multi charged shryke + jpi and some inceptors. Once again, invuls were insane, Arjac did 3 whole damage to shryke who in turn clawed his eyes out and left him a ruined pile... Inceptors didn't lose a single model, used a strat to fall back and blew away 7 terminators with good Oath of Moment. His tanks did tank things and mine folded.
  6. I don't see a world where any of our codex detachments are a 3. We are a gutter army right now and with codexes rolling over I don't see any of our suddenly becoming giga busted must be 3's with the new missions. But that's just my opinion right? Crazy we had the best selling army box of the edition and sitting at the lowest dredges of playability. It's almost insulting that we have to spend 1 of our dp to get what should have been a datasheet fix right?
  7. Excellent use of older bits the pistol/hand look seamless
  8. These look really neat, i like the darker scheme with bronze/red heraldry
  9. Excellent work!
  10. these rule man
  11. Welcome back! We got a pretty decent refresh last year and i will say if you can find that box anywhere its a solid grab. Plenty of models to work on while you wait for the new edition. The other safe buys would be Logan, Arjac, wolf guard terminators for sure. Every kit we got is a treat to build and paint. I'll echo some of what has been said, for any range punch we lean on codex space marines as we are at this time a supplement. Vindicators, predators, gladiators (lancer mostly) repulsor, repulsor executioner are all commonly seen filling the anti-tank roles/shooting platforms. Dreadnoughts are decent, ballistus dreads and redemptors sort of rise and fall periodically but never bad options. List building is honestly super easy as long as you have a warlord (character) you just fill in the rest of your 2000pts with whatever you like, max of 3 units of each datasheet (battle line like...6? but i have yet to see a SW list max that). So like your list could be 3-4 characters, say logan is the warlord, some intercessors and bloodclaws as battline, a few tanks for shooting and then a few of our beefier melee options in thunderwolf cavalry and terminators, then sprinkle in some scoring pieces like scouts and fenrisian wolves and bang you got an army. I'd like to say we are a melee army but a lot of what you will see is "jail" armies or pressure armies where the goal is to push as many high toughness models with invuls into your opponent and try to "jail" or limit their ability to play the game while you score with secondary units like scouts, lieutenant w/combi weapon etc. We aren't the punchiest army or the shooties army so we exist in this gray area. Saga of the Greatwolf detachment and Gladius are probably the best "all comers" detachments we can take as they offer stratagems and rules to help in both shooting and melee as well as some movement stuff, Stormlance is a popular go fast jail/pressure detachment (basically its all gas no brakes but lacks damage amp abilities). Sadly our book was uhhh...not the greatest when it comes to detachments. They are ok for like narrative play or just beer n pretzel basement hammer. I kinda rambled but I'd say grab one of the newer kits or the big box if you can find it, take your time re-engaging the hobby side and toss up some batreps on youtube to watch how the game plays these days, Tabletop Titans is good or anything like that.
  12. 100% Do sword bros have them? They have gnarly rules and with 2 characters attached can punch really far up without having to play a mini game like Head Takers do
  13. OOF lets hope it was all honest mistakes/new to the faction rather than any ill intent to win...
  14. Congrats buddy!
