I can only speak for myself when I say they're shooting themselves in the foot. Ive been in the hobby a long time, tech-savvy etc so I'm not a huge demographic but: I can afford GW stuff. Im not paying for it at these prices however because I'm a 'won't pay 10 dollars for popcorn at the theatre' kinda guy and it doesnt matter how much I make. Hence: - Pretty much no impulse buys - Recasts for all FW stuff I just cannot stomach those prices for resin - Kitbash/stand-ins for characters not paying their current HQ prices Also they can spend money to RnD all the expansions/books they want, they cost me exactly 0 money (unless new models). 3D printing isn't at the right effort/reward ratio for me just yet, but if GW keeps pushing hard Im sure me and many other will get there one day. What GW have going for them is their sculpts and IP are simply the best on the fantasy/scifi market and I dont want to accept anything below that par.

Hi all, I havent played any 8th at all and amn't on top of the changes in terms of books and rules that rolled around since 7th ended. Looking for an excuse to finish painting more models, can anyone help me pick a marine codex to use? Background: I play cheaply, my collection is mostly just stock marine and terminator units from the boxed sets I bought in bulk. I used to use all kinds of cheese and sheannanigans to actually make playable lists. The main focus being mobility without buying pricy vehicles I used tricks like: -Deathstars with gate of infinity or telekenises psykers to move 12", have 3+ invuls etc using inquisition as allies and so on. -Space wolves using the outflank upgrade on a bunch of HQ's. -Using bastions with the escape hatch for an early 18" move. -Blood angels with astorath allowing to take an army of death company. They could take jetpacks with bolters so one could have a very mobile list by just modelling jump packs onto stock marines. So yeah you get the idea. Anyone have suggestions on how to best turn a collection of 50 marines, 10 terminators, some random bikes and any HQ's (modelling) into a reasonably mobile and effective force? Please be as detailed as you can as I've no idea atm how allies or strategems and all this new stuff im seeing works. Ive noticed psykers can now pick powers (amen) and warp speed looks quite useful, so heretics is my initial gut feeling but im open to all marine suggestions (except grey knights, too unique models). Alpha legion have a useful looking unit placement strategem to set up 9" away. Thanks for any tips.

Is this the revenge I have been waiting for. It was always veeeery obvious it was Cypher, but how dare those damn Dark Angels DESTROY A BLACK TEMPLAR VESSEL AND ITS CREW to preserve their dirty little secret. IMO: GW please release canon saying Cypher is the loyalist, and the DA are just traitors trying to kill him.

Very nice. I really like the assault cannon havocs, I would copy it if i had enough parts.

Take note that: he doesnt have to move full D6 for RZ, its a consolidation move. Kill them all still works, because the rule doesnt exist but the FAQ says they still have to chek when firing at non closest unit.

Hey Eberious, sorry for not saying how awesome your models are for so long (because they are) :lol: , I wasnt on BC for awhile. Hmmmm dreadnoughts are cool, but chaplains are just as cool so im not jealous of the great model you made for Tolek. The guy with the mohawk is pretty refreshing, but all the models are great!
