Hi all, been a long time since I've posted on this forum, and while in Heroic Scale I am an avid loyalist and played 1st Company, my allegiances are shifting in Epic Scale and am planning on playing Traitors in Legions Imperalis. To this end, I have acquired a sizable force for a predominantly tank heavy company (6 Preds, 4 Sicarans, and 12 Kratos) and have the Rhinos I need for all my Infantry, but I'm struggling to find a tank marking guides for different companies being differentiated. Or different squadrons inside a tank company would be nice too. I've looked through all the local 30k books I've gotten to but the pictures are only of a side view with very little details. Does anyone have additional resources or thoughts? Best, Paul

Haven't forgotten about this. I've just been super busy IRL. Thank you for the kind words. Model count for me: Belial Librarian in TDA x15 Chaplain in TDA x13 Deathwing Terminator (10 man) x10 Deathwing Knight (10 man) x4 Deathwing Champion Deathwing Ancient Deathwing Apothecary x2 Land Raider x4 Land Raider Terminus Ultra x2 Land Raider Ares x3 Chaplain Dreadnought x2 Relic Contemptor x3 Mortis Contemptor x4 Mk V Contemptor x3 Lucious Pattern Drop Pods x3 Fortress of Redemption This is my army. It is large, and unwieldy, but it is mine and I love it. There are a few things yet to be added. Another Chaplain in TDA that was a gift from a friend. I've also got the stuff to add 5 more Apothecaries for these large games. I will be finishing my LRC to add to this pile, and I've also got my eyes on a couple more Dreadnoughts of different types (Forgeworld). I might add another pair of LRC to make that pack of 3. Other than this there isn't a lot else that I'd add. Again sorry about the delay. Paul -

Here is my Teaser. I marched the Deathwing for 13 hours last night, I took a ton of pictures, but at some point my camera stopped going so the end of the game was missed. It was called early, neither side had a clear path to victory with 2 full turns left to go and it was far too late for brains to keep firing. Fun was had. I will get more images into the gallery in a bit, but maybe this will draw some interest. ^_^ Best, Paul

Hi guys, As I've been cleaning out boxes and working on projects I've broken into a box of stuff that I knew that I had, but I had forgotten how extensive it was. All of these bikers have been given metal sculpted tactical shoulder pads with the arrow pointing up and an appropriate Fist sculpted Pad. Most of them have the Fist with a Ring around it, but the Veterans have some other options, like Laurels, and Larger or Other pads. 12x Tactical Bikers -(Straight Rider, no Weapon) 4x Plasma Bikers -(Plasma Gun strong armed) 2x Graviton Bikers -(Graviton Gun strong armed) 4x Melta Bikers -(Melta Gun strong armed) 6x Biker Sargents -(5x Chainsword, 1x No Weapon) 2x Special Weapon Bikers -(Ready to accept any weapon (Melta, Plasma, Chainsword, etc) 1x Apothecary on Bike -(Nathecium) 4x Veteran Bikers -(No weapon, Veteran Pad) 1x Champion -(Power Sword, Combat Shield) ---------------------------------- These are the 36 models that I currently have. I have access to an un-assembled classic metal bike chaplain that will be my 37th bike. At this point, I don't quite have all the models that I would like to have. I am planning on doing a few other things. This is my to do list: 1) Need to build a Bike Librarian. Right now I have a Jensus Natorian on the way from Ebay to convert into a Bike Librarian. I have most of the bits I need. I'll have to look for some robed legs to finish him out. He will be fully converted and I will remove any offending iconography before he gets called finished. 2) I want to upgrade the Biker Champion to use a bit that I found. I've found that I have a metal Emperor's Champion's Black Sword. I will be doing this soon. 3) I need to model my Captain as a Biker. He'll need to be a Left Handed Power Fist and Storm Shield, so I'll be converting a Shield to the front of the bike, or some such, to make it work. Looking for any ideas on modeling this. 4) I need to acquire 2-3 attack bikes. I think this is a big thing for Bike armies at the moment, as they can suck up some wounds that protect your important pieces and/or provide a Melta where needed. ------------------------------------------ Otherwise, what other bikers should I be bringing, and how else would you load out what's left? I am thinking that one more box of bikes and the 2-3 attack bikes should see me with enough stuff. My bikers now are a good mix I think, but I'd take input on how to finish them out. Best, Paul

Tonight, the Ancients March in Defense of Kronor! (3500pts)
Pbenner replied to Pbenner's topic in + DARK ANGELS +
Oooh Oooh I get to play this list again tonight. Someone from last week saw it and decided it was fun looking. Tonight I will be doing Dark Angel things for Dark Angel reasons. We decided that since my list was defender oriented that I would be trying to STOP the GK attackers from re-establishing their relay. Tonight will be a good gauge of what the power level of this from an elite an elite standpoint. I need to make a decision on what the Fortress will be doing yet. My primary thought is to use it to make a wall on one side to keep him away from objectives. We will see how it goes though. Best, Paul -
It is permanent attached to the baserver at the momen. I have considered cutting into the bottom and making a trap door, but I like the permanent attachment as it will allow me to play around with more things like dirt and debris caught in corners and what not. Since it will he a long work in progress I will have time to do more to it as we go along. For now this is back burnered as I am working a project for the local FLGS owner. (GK Project)

Tonight, the Ancients March in Defense of Kronor! (3500pts)

The Fortress being T10 has a huge survival bonus against focused Las as it is only being wounded on a 5+ 50% chance to sink a wound bs 33% is huge. His Las option was not amazing, but it did survive the Predator, and a 4 man Las squad shooting for 3 turns. It also withstood being smashed into by a Plague Hulk until T5 on top of the Las. For the 400pts, if you can use it effectively it's a major boon. It stops your army from being targeted as well as even a Dread can hide behind it from most thing. I would take It again. Good model. -

Yes, Game was played. Everything happened the way I needed it to. Playing 3500 points, he was either going to have one side swamped with models and have to come around my Fortress, or attempt to go through it. He made the decision to go through it. He had lots of nasty stuff for high T and W models, but I think I didn't do too bad. The DWK and Characters came out and did a T1 multi-charge to tie up as much of his forces coming at the Fortress as possible, and since positioning was good, his only Las target was the fortess. Fortress lived until T5, where the game ended. I kept falling back as little as possible and keeping a line of armor between him and the goal. A few flying things got off, but overall was good, well fought game. He rolled a 2 and ended the game before T6, with me having 15points (7 kills with my Dreads and his Warlord) to his 11. I'm bad at taking pictures once I start playing... Paul -

The B&C-gallery is pretty good (and safe from the whims of external providers). You just need to scale down your original pics a bit Yes, I am painting this by hand. I do not own an air brush as I have not afforded one yet, but It's probably my next major purchase. Outside of nickle and dime stuff, I haven't spent cash on this game in 2+ years. Have been working through my back log. My father already owns a compressor that I can use, as he uses an air brush to apply his Clown Makeup for his work as a Shriner, so I just need the gun. I'm just a broke bitch. I will be buying one before I start going whole hog on my Crimson Fists. I'm also not very good with pictures and what not, so am kind of lazy about it. I'll work on it, but while B&C is good for hosting 2/3 armies I play, I can't leave my bugs out of the loop. I haven't gotten any more painting done recently, but I'm going to do some today for sure. Best, Paul

Okay, so it won't let me host these as images yet, but I'll work on that, for now, links to my google drive. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B9vpsiky1r0qUkttVXlJUk9sTTg?usp=sharing Everything up to date including the first run at the metal color in places. That is current project. Paul

I did my 3rd serious round of paint last night and I think other than the upper most section I might be done with the Grey. I will be going over it with a fine tooth comb tonight, but I think I'm okay. Phew. Now it's next steps time, probably time to work out all the metal reinforcements on the exterior.

All of my permanently attached motor pool is painted appropriately. My Storm Eagle that I've finished is done in bone with green recesses. IT also have the 1st company emblem being painted on it's top by hand in large format. They're your toys. Paint them how you want and if anyone complains, slap them. Paul

A couple of things to note. I had the points so I upgraded the Kheres to C-Beam cannons, and they were a MAJOR boon. Seriously the best ranged fire support option that a Contemptor can take for cleaning out the masses. Super, Super good. I need to snag a couple more of them I think. I am super impressed with Dreadnoughts and how they perform. They are a wonderful platform now and I could easily see running more of them. I want to keep playing and seeing what can happen, but I think that it will be some serious firepower to any force, and very fluffy.
