It still needs basing and weathering but I'm holding off on that until I decide how the army will be based in one go. No since dusting with muddy colors if its an urban base scheme and viceversa. But calling it done for now and table worthy.

Need to finish up the bottom plates when I get home, but soon....

You are not kidding. I toyed with the idea of doing an LED kit inside and fleshing out the interior with some detailing but when I put a LED tea light in there the amount and light spill was more than I was willing to tackle. Around the engine block, the open view slots on the front, and all along the strut work for the grav plates on both sides. You almost have to build a plasticard box INSIDE the walls to seal some of them. Wasn't worth the headache to even start to tackle so I settled for green stuffing the armor plates down each side to be smooth and continuous and called it a day.

Finally got the gaps green stuffed, sanded and smoothed. Started building the white layers and did some base shading on the black. Its getting there, just slowly. Probably another 10 hrs or more of painting before final assembly.

as far as the winged pads.... what about going a nice deep brass like you've used for some other accents on the models (biggest example I can see is the bells swinging from the waste of one of them). Would tie some other details together and would work with the other muted metallics you've used.
