The Defiler Posted February 8, 2007 Share Posted February 8, 2007 A bit too shiny for my taste, but that's a brilliant use of bits (I' d like to build a patrol of Heresy Era Iron Warriors, and I' ve planned to use the same kind of bits... Also, unless I'm mistaken I seem to recognise his Chainsword as being from the old plastic Khorne berzerkers (single pose) I like the shininess of the black, personally. Lately, I've kind of fallen in love with pre-heresy DA, and just like that, you've got pics! The way they all hold their bolters one-handed really adds to the heroic feeling! Then hopefully it will turn into a full army. The Defiler- They are a bit on the shiny side even for me, but they have not been given a coat of matte varnish yet. Hopefully that will dull them down a bit. Magnus the red- Thank you. StratoKhan- The studs were made with PVA glue and your dead on about the chainsword. Moribund the Burgermeister- Thanks for the compliment. The black was highlighted with Vallejo German Grey. Then a 50/50 mix of German Grey and Vallejo Cold Grey. Vodunius Posted February 9, 2007 Share Posted February 9, 2007 once upon a time the Word Bearer and Night Lord legions worshipped Khorne.. once upon a time the Ultramarines were a 3rd Founding Chapter formed to replace a Chapter which had been banished to the Eye of Terror during the Interlegionary Wars (reusing said chapters regalia & geneseed).. once upon a time Genestealers were a totally separate race with nothing to do with Tyranids.. and once upon a time the Dark Angels wore black armour with a red chapter badge and helmet stripe.. it should be noted the white chapter badge and no helmet stripe wasnt just a cockup of the IA art, GW had used it once or twice before (the side of the Space Marine 2nd edition box had a black armoured DA with a white chapter badge and no helmet stripe ~ tho he was in Mk7 armour) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
