Is it still possible to give my lord:

Recommended Posts

is there any way of giving a lord a retinue? i always used to give my Chaos Lord a retinue of a few termies,

but now i have to field them as a seperate squad ;)

is there any way of still giving him a retinue or is there any other way around it? or is this another one of those things ive missed when reading my codex?

There's no official retinues, but depending on deployment may be able to effectively do so.

If teleporting in, can't really do it reliably since will be making seperate reserves&scatter rolls. If come in at same time and deploy via Icon, can make it work.

If the termies have a Land Raider, can stick him in it during deployment easily enough unless playing Escalation, in which case lord would deploy on foot and termies/LR come in on reserve.

If all on foot, just stick together, no problem.

Unofficially, for friendly games, I don't think many people would give you grief if you said something like, "Hey, my Lord's going to ride with the termies in the Land Raider - I'll bring him in when they show up on reserves."

that is a very good point

i always used to send them teleporting as a squad together (my lord has termie armour)

but i never thought of sending them out seperately and then joining them

interesting

also both my lord and my termies have icons of nurgle, so they can still teleport right next to each other no matter which order they come

thing is, it mucks up my principle of having 7men per squad (and 7 squads)

but then again, having the lord on his own as the 7th squad isnt keeping to that either

oh well :D

thx for the help anyway
