Is the freehand on the raider planned in advance or do you just go with the flow? I'm guessing it's the latter as that's what i would do ( it'd be simpler that way).

Very nice indeed though, keep it up!

Hey Daemonclaw your work is amazing :tu: ^_^

I just wish i had your free hand skills, may i ask teo questions

The first: What colour are you using for that blue

The second: How long do you think it took you to learn how to do those amazing free hand skill

Once again amazing work

okay, saw your flyer, and though "that guy's mad for doing that colour scheme on a one-off piece" and now I see you're doing an entire army of it! must admit it's beautiful, and yet mildly disturbing to look at, true chaos.

Wow, I'm so impressed with your free hand pattern!

it's very inspiring :D

If you live in Europe I could send you the HVbolter,

As I just got a Crusader and don't need it,

not sure If I have an extra turret bit however :S

Mad Props man,

I would love to see that army fielded on table.

ps: Heretic, DIE!!!! *cough*

Absolutely stunning! :D

I love all of them, the librarian/sorcerer is top notch! My only criticism is the cloak. I don't like the outside pattern. It doesn't seem to fit the feel of the sorcerer. Not entirely sure what to change it to, you have mad skills so I think you could come up with something better than I could think of.

Otherwise the whole army looks amazing. I bet Forge World must love you. :D

EDIT: Go with the green cockpit. The colors are complimentary.

mr gosh i live in the uk if that helps ;) and thanx for the props ,and thanx all for your comments,

lucrosium malice;the idea with the cloak was that he took it from some snow leopard type beast he bested ,still not too sure about it myself but for now i have no idea what to do instead :)

hastus ;the freehand sections take about an hour or two depending on size per highlight

kayesh; in game terms the daemon is just a generic greater daemon, and i like the khorne symbol for a base.in fluff terms vauhl is a great sorceror who tricked and enslaved the daemon making it live a limbo existance neither here or the warp and vauhl has a tentative hold on its existance and must maintain control of the beast lest it slips his psychic control and kills him (think b movie villain who seems to always get killed by his own pet monster)

anyways here is a bit of an update on the mad dread

The dread is looking awesome Daemonclaw. Two thumbs way up!

I did notice a blue paint hic-up on the right chest. Around the 11 o-clock area of the metallic ring. Otherwise as with all the others superb.

I really love the gem on the left chest and the eyes on the helm. Very sinister.

hey there brother plasticard

the blue is a couple thin layers of hawk tuquoise followed by first highlight pattern of 50/50 hawk tuquoise ice blue followed by iceblue skull white 50/50

metal is started with drybrush of tinbits over black basecoat, then a drybrush of tinbits dwarf bronze 50/50.then drybrush dwarf bronze(there seems to be a pattern here lol)then mix shining gold highlight.

next i make up an ink of atouch of tin bits added to 20%black ink 60%chestnut ink 20%green ink watered down and mix a little future floor wax to let it sink into crevases

ps it looks darker in life than in pictures

lucrosium malice thanx for the comment, if you are on about the cabling it is because i am too clumsy to get my brush in there without making a mess but the cabling is going to be painted another colour ,probably dark green.

if this is not the area you mean please feel free to let me know because other viewers always see things you missed which helps us to improve

cheers D

Actually hadn't noticed the cables until you said it. Funny how the blue is on there worse than the spot I noticed yet I didn't notice the cables at all. :tu:

On the right chest there is a half circle with rays coming out. Its the detailed trim actually on the model. At the 11 o-clock position next to the top rivet in the half circle there is a small patch of blue.
