Background for renegade company

This is the fluff that i have been thinking of using for my Nurgle/Tzeentch army. Feel free to comment and change it to make it better.

All the members of the Brazen Scars (chapter name generator) are either dedicated towards either the forces of Nurgle or Tzeentch, the company is split roughly equally between both gods.

After the purging of Centarus IV, a desert tribal world, the Brazen Scars left the planet on a journey to another recruitment planet. The strike cruiser of the 5th company was lost to the warp and emerged 50 years later the other side of the galaxy. No-one knows what happened in that time but none of the men who were lost returned the same. When the ship was found it was dormant, just floating through space, a rogue trader (name lost in the records) found the ship and started to salvage the ship. Salvaging teams were sent on-board the ship and found that the bridge and area around the navigators pod, medicae decks, and armory were sealed off. The teams then proceded to cut through the bulk heads to get into these areas. The team in the bridge area found nothing but bodies of the bridge serfs and proceded to the navigators pod. All they found were sealed suits of un-ornamented power armor and terminator armor painted in dark bronze and red.

The second salvaging team after cutting their way into the medicae decks found in sealed stasis chambers bodies or various de-composure. As the second team proceded further into the deck they discovered the bodies of space marines slumped against the walls with detonation craters in the walls, floor and ceiling. Ignorant of any threat the team pressed on to the end of the deck where they found the body of a figure in Terminator Armor which had warped and grown tusks from the helmet but again like all of the bodies, completely lifeless.

The last team, after entering the armory, found rows upon rows of rhino chassis' all in varying states of dismantlement, some intact just with engines removed and some with nothing left just piles of track segments. As the third team got to the furthest point of the tank deck the floor had become scratched and large gouges had been taken out of the floor and walls. Aiming their lamp packs into the arches that made up the ceiling, one of the salvager's spotted some thing out of place at the top of one of the domes, 3 glowing specks of red light, as he played the beam over area where the lights were coming from, all that was there was a large 3 eyed metallic skull. With a roar the Defiler dropped from the ceiling flipping in the progress and landing on the deck crushing 2 salvager's with its claws, decapitating one with a casual flick of a rear leg and gunning down the remaining stunned team members.

The roar of the Defiler was heard at the other end of the ship in the bridge and medicae deck. The remaining 2 salvage teams started to retreat from their positions but still stopping to recover items, such as boltguns and knives from the bodies they went past, this was their mistake.

On the bridge the motionless suits of armor that stood their started to glow from the eye sockets and the power packs of the suits started to hum, but this went un-noticed by the retreating team until when one of the team tried to pull a ornate staff from the hand of one of the terminators, only slightly more ornament than the others, but unlike all the other items it did not come free like the other items they had taken from the figures it was not coming free. It was when the helm of the suit turned its glowing yellow eyes turned to the man grasping the staff that it went completely wrong for the team. The staff head was swiftly brought down onto the salvager's helmet breaking its seal and exposing the man inside to the vacuum causing his head to explode as the head of the staff was cracked against the floor breaking the brittle bone double headed eagle on the floor. In unison the salvaging team turned to see the body slumping to the floor but didnt see the row of suits of power armor behind them raise their bolters and open fire shredding the team from behind. One of the bolter rounds flew through a body and exploded harmlessly on the helm of the terminator holding the staff and sending a rippling effect from the point of impact. All that could be heard in the room was the echo of gunfire and the booming laughter coming from the vox-grille of the Sorcerer.

Unaware of what had happened to the other 2 teams. The team turned back from evacuating the ship and returned to the large body at the end of the deck and investigated. Moving carefully around the body they investigated the body it was as one of the team members was looking at prising the slightly rusted lightning claw from the armor but caught one of the finger blades on his suit but the blade didnt cut his flesh but went through the fabric of the atmospheric suit he was wearing, after quickly backing off pinching the hole closed and applying a patch to cover the hole he started screaming over and over again about the fact that he was on fire. After several strange looks from his team mates he fell down trying to tear his helmet off to get release but couldn't grasp one of the latches and the helmet would not come off. Then he stopped moving and his head rolled back and stared at the ceiling, when one of the team looked through his visor his face was a mass of green, brown and yellow rot and pustules. While gathering around the body of their dead team member the rest of their team had their backs to the body on the slab and didn't see it moving until it slammed the claw through one team members body and slammed another's head against the wall where it was crushed between the solid ceramite gauntlet and metal wall. The team then panicked and ran out through the door and ran into now standing "corpses" and were mercilessly cut down.

Since this day 9 thousand years ago the Rotten Fangs have tormented the Imperial back waters on the Northern Fringe using hit and run tactics, stealing psykers, bodies and also taking cultists of both Nurgle and Tzeentch onto their ship to use their bodies and souls to replace

fallen comrades.

(sorry for such a long post, was aiming for it to be short but the ideas started flowing and i couldnt stop :D )

Edit: changed topic title

ok and where is the fluff in that ? and how would a defiler get on to a ship that was in the warp all the time , even with the new fluff of defiler thats impossible . And how it is even possible that cultists from two gods that hate each other are on the same ship is very strange . also the only 1ksons are the 1 ksons , the rubric spell was never performed again .

they arent seperate they are fighting together, remembering old ties as it were, and the troops who are dedicated to tzeentch arent fully gone, just their skin, their skeletons are still in the armor.

the defiler was in there as it was a old dreadnought chassis but the pilot was killed and the techmarines then went insane due to being trapped in the warp and were going to entomb one of themselves into it once they had changed what it looked like, hence the salvaged rhinos and other tanks but a daemon got there first,
