kanaellars Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Just wanted to post my newest wolves and see what you all thought of them. 310 points. 1 WGBL and 4 Wolf guard. All in Terminator Armor, all with Lightning Claw and Storm Shield. They arn't 'done' yet, but I would say they are at least ready for the table. What do all my fellow wolves think? kanaellars Posted August 8, 2008 Author Share Posted August 8, 2008 My hope exactly... it is CONFIRMED by Games Workshop that in the new Space Marine codex storm shields are 3+ invulnerable ranged and close combat... I haven't used these guys yet, but providing that we get that update to shields as well... 3+* > 1 extra attack to me any day! We all await the new Codex....hopefully, we don't get short changed like our Dark Angel Brethren and lose some of our best attributes. I can't wait to see more of your minis. Wolf89 Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Nice conversions, I like the green stuff work, very nice. :wallbash: I am doing a similar combo with the black reach terminators, however 2 will have Thunder hammers, and not all will have storm shields, (wound allocation should help here in most AP cases). Icewolf Posted August 9, 2008 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Very impressive brother but I would have taken at least 1 thunder hammer to help when you meet up with tanks and the like as it would make destroying them easier - my thoughts. 3+ invunerble save such fun can't wait I could have such fun with that and a unit of wolf guard also nice way to go with lighting claw and storm shield let me know how it fairs. Icewolf I understand what you mean... but I already have a 5 man WG squad with Chain Fists and Storm Bolters who tend to serve as my Tank hunters... or my 4 Long Fangs with Lascannons. I have tried and tried to wait for the new release of the Space Wolves range, but I can't wait any longer so I am getting small squads and converting them, as well as taking older squads and adding to them (My scouts are also posted here somewhere). Curse my speed painting skills.... I would give anything to paint better and slower. This squad I stretched out a bit... I tried to make them last. I did these 5 in 3 days, about 4 hours a day.
