Wraithwing Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 Greetings Wolf-Brothers, I'm played with various incarnations of the Space Wolves on and off over the last decade or so, but none has captured my imagination moreso than the 13th Company. I've done a search, but couldn't find anything definate on this (weak search-fu), but whats the current state of play with regards to the 13th Company? Are they an officialy accepted army, or have they been phased out? I tried to check out the link, but it appears to be dead. Having just gone through all my old stuff, I found a box of SW figures, namely a unit of Grey Hunters/Grey Slayers, Blood Claws/Storm Claws, Long Fangs and a few IC's. Wolf89 Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 I don't remember the exact post name, but there was a few similar topics about a good month ago, basically they're fine to play in normal games, but most tournaments you won't be allowed. They most likely will live on as an Apocalypse Datasheet. I say most likely that they'll live on in a "variant" list in the upcoming Space Wolves codex come next year (or sooner?). CanisD Posted August 19, 2008 Share Posted August 19, 2008 I just used the Chaos Codex to represent a band with somewhat better equipment, with Marks of Khorne to represent the Mark of the Wulfen. Got a pair of Defilers for XMas one year, so I converted one to look like a marine had been wired into it like a dreadnought, and converted the other one and gave it fluff that a Rune Priest had been trapped inside it after banishing the original daemonic inhabitant. Even converted a Wolfen to play the role of Khârn, and converted Logan Grimnar to be Abaddon and made a Greater Daemon out of a Reaper Lycan Lord. Marek Grimfang Posted August 22, 2008 Share Posted August 22, 2008 Latest idealogical rumour from a local red shirt is that th 13th Co. will be represented by something along the same lines as the Legion of the Damed marines where it may be some sort of an Elite choice or something.
