Ideas for a game store

Hey all!

I'm a bit new to this community, but I've been playing Space wolves and Tanith imperial guard for some time now. I graduate college next year, and a friend and I have arranged to be partners in opening a tabletop gaming store. It's going to be in Southern Connecticut, most likely in the Norwalk/Stamford region, in an effort to fill what we see as an empty niche in the area.

What I'm looking for from you guys:

What would you like to see in your ideal game store that you have hitherto found wanting in others?

Bonus: If you live in the southern CT area, would you like to be on a mailing list for tournaments/special events after we open? (Be warned, it'll likely be a couple years before you hear anything).

If you have gaming tables it would be really cool to run some type of store wide narrative campaign. You could have customers writing background and choosing missions. Just something to add storyline and fun to all the games and keep your customers coming back for more.

Keep me updated on this! I'm looking for a good gaming store (I live in Groton, so not too far away) with a good community that likes to get into campaigns. I'd also like something that offers Specialist Games campaigns, items, tournys, etc. (especially BFG and Inquisitor). Let me know if you want any other ideas or a helping hand once your plans get more concrete.
