My "French" Death Guard Army ^^

Hello,

First, sorry for my english, I'm French (from Le Mans). I would to present to you my Death Guard army. The Sons of the East Terminus.

I've just finished to paint it. I try to play a fluff an equilibrated list. There is a lot of Forgeworld inside.

As I wanted to advance quickly, I've used "dipping" technic (but I use a brush to control the result). I've tryed to choose good colors and dilute a lot, because it's important.

- 1 Daemon Prince

- 1 Greater Daemon

- 3x7 Plague Marines (2 Rhinos)

- 2x7 Plaguebearers

- 3 Termis

- 1 Dreadnought

Thanks a lot for your comments. It's encouraging.

How 'bout a quick tutorial?

I try to explain the technique :

1- Undercoat necessarily with white.

2- Choose colors which can be good with the product (sorry, I don't know how to say "lasure" in english). For example in my case, camo green for the armour, mithril silver for metallic parts, red gore for blood or wounds.

It's very important to dilute a lot these different colors as if you use a "lavis".

3- I make some touching up.

4 - I use matt varnish because the product gives an bright effect.

Sorry for my english, I hope you'll understand this tutorial ^^.

You dipped an all resin army, that sounds like something someone from Vancouver would do, eh Doc?

They look good, very uniform which is a think one of the strengths of the dip method. Mercenary painters are going to be out of work... Or at least people who paint dark and dreary, brighter colors don't dip as well I'm led to believe. But in the grim darkness of the future, there is only dark colored armies.

You could write the tutorial en Francais and someone with better French than I could translate it. Bablefish might do a better job than me. Good to know the recession hasn't reached France yet. ;-)

I'd say something clever in French but my brain is broken.

Ok, ere we go for a french tutorial :

"1 - Sous-couche blanche.

What do you plan to add to the army next?

I used to play at 1500 pts so this army is normally complete but I plan to add one or two things like a sorcerer for example.
