ok, thanks so far guys, i'm glad its coming across as wolfy enough for you... not used to seeing wolves here in crappy margate (really is the arse end of the world) so i've been using google as an aide to the colouring, and while i thought it looked good on the wolf pelts i wasn't sure it'd transfer that well onto a full model... going to add more grey to the next one though.. so i'll keep you posted

ok guys, been working slowly on my long fang pack leader... decided to give him an over the shoulder pelt, keeps the visulas similar to those of my wgpl to denote his importance to the company...

Absolutely fantastic, very imaginative models. Please, keep it up!

Out of curiosity, which head did you use for the Pack Leader that you based off of Haakon from the Codex (the guy first shown off in Post #8)? It looks like one of the old Long Fangs, but some of the details look different, such as the mouth being closed.

Amazing work! How do you do your fur/pelts? Greenstuffing them, I mean. Yours are a lot "finer", if you get what I mean, than mine. A lot thinner... Don't know how to explain that otherwise.

Anyway, REALLY good work. I love it.

after a while away from converting and paintng up space wolves im back... basically i let up on the model front incase i spent ages converting and painting models only to find out i couldn't use them, so heres the shots of my latest WIP batch...

Blood Claws, i had the forge world chain axes for a while, and always wanted my bloodclaws to be modeled without bolt pistols so i finally got round to doing it...

http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/DSC00730.jpg

then theres my wolf lord, redone the hammer and found a nice shield for him. the wolf cloak needs to be scultped but that'll be shown in the tutorial im working on

http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/DSC00709.jpg

http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/DSC00710.jpg

Then another Wolf Guard terminator... i wanted to add a heavy weapon to them in the old dex but never got round to it...

http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/DSC00720.jpg

http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/DSC00721.jpg

Then theres the start of my venerable dread... took inspiration from some of the conversions ive seen around with regards to the front... then decided that the close combat arem wasn't up to scratch so started converting so let me know what you think.

Oh and for a cookie and a glass of milk, hidden in some of these pics is a clue as to the next mini i'll be working on...

Comments and critiques much appreciated as normal guys. Thanks in advance

Andy

+EDIT+

Also, the shoulder pads on your wolfguard with the HUGE axe... What bits were used there?

Bit late with this response, sorry dude, but heres the answer.

They are just shoulder pads turned on their side with the tips cut off and the rim filed down. I then added a strip of plasticard as a bit of extra armour on it.

any way, been busy today with gluing bits together and writing a tut on sculpting fur, but heres a shot of my WIP runepriest...

hes meant to look old and hunched, as though his powers are taking their strength from him. hes meant to be leaning on his staff and using it for support more than as a weapon.

i know hes looking quite barren at the moment, but he will get more charms and wolf tail talismans than any other model in my army, he will also be one of the most heavily cloaked models, with only the wolf priest having more wolf pelts than him. i basically want him to look like an oap :D

Ooh Ooh lemme guess!!!

A Lone Wolf with Mark of the Wulfen in Terminator Armor.I guess this because of the slivers of a Wulfen in the background from some older book.

And I must say your minis are all wonderful. I'll have to take some WIP's of my Wolf Lord now. And my bits bash Wolf Priest.

Nope, sorry no cookies this time....

ok, i been working a bit on my wolf lord recently (as you can see from the wolf cloak tutorial) but i haven't neglected other parts of my wolves... ooh, and my geek room is finished now. i have a proper place to work on them hence why i'm so happy and busy at the moment. heres the work area, look at all the plastic bits, so many conversions....

http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/DSC00773.jpg

and for those of you who were interested, here the very first ideas for my wolf guard termies... i've kept pretty close to my original ideas i think.

http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/DSC00774.jpg

but the thing i've been working on is a predator annihilator... i always thought the turrets were too weedy, so i used a forge world leman russ exterminator as the base with some IG lascannons. I'm working on a casing out of plasticard (similar to how the casing on a Land raiders Heavy Bolters look). what do you guys think?

i know the back may look a bit dodgy but its gonna be covered by the wolf cloak and won't be seen by anyone without x-ray vision.

i copied the design of the dwarf hammer by adding the thin bar that runs from the head to the bottom of the handle.

and i repainted the wolf on the shield so that it was more prominent and brighter.

obviously the gold needs to be finished, theres the shoulder pad that needs his logo on and the face/hair have to be done but its very close to finished.
