'Stripey white' plague marine tutorial

If anyone wonders why I posted in this thread again, it is because people are still following the previous links I posted in this thread, there are a lot of Nurgle appropriate painting tips on my Diseased Sons website.

I did wonder about that bump Musk!

I've followed this right up until the last stages - and decided I didn't want to go 'stripey white' - but this has to be one of the best, most comprehensive guides around.

I just wanted to say thanks, this tutorial is excellent. I didn't go stripy white, and painted my trim differently, but a brilliantly nice nurgly base coat from the basecoat white and 3 washes.

Nice!

Pretty funny you posted in a thread about the scheme, when you haven't really followed it though haha! Great twist though, important you crib other people's ideas to flesh out your own - great to see it inspires people still.

Well, I was following the scheme, up until a point :P

Seeing the green as it turned out really worked for me, still gave me a colour I never would have come across (base coat white, black wash, brown wash then green wash? really?) and was pretty easy to do.

So yes, thanks where it is intended :D

For sure! I decided I didn't want to go with the green and then go for white over the top. Resulted in this:

Very happy - such a great tutorial, and pleased to be able to customise accordingly too.

Start?! 17 years and tens of thousands of points later - it's a mass re-doing laugh.png

Cheers Musk - thank you!
