Very cool, twin bolt pistols is awesome - though I think I prefer the dread marine too ;)

 

I'm not sure but the boots look a bit wide?

I don't mind remotely Thom ;) he's also very cool.

And game wise, while he wont get to fire twice, he'll still get a second CC attack i think.

 

The boots are a bit wide, leson learned there, i need to shave the "donor" foot down more before i start,

 

It's certainly an interesting approach, and i like the "medeival" quality of the legs, in my mind its old, cheap power armour

 

let's see what i can do to another poor victim :D

For mystics and sages you might want to look at the new imperial guard advisors. THe Astropath would make a good mystic, and the Master of Ordnance could be used as a sage.

Thanks Grand Master, but i really am still learning. it's tricky stuff to work with tbh, too soft most of the time, too stockiy at first, hard to smooth,

Glsn, i did look at those guys, and the sanctined psykers, and all the available retinues. i arrived at using a pair of these guys for sages

I agree that astropath would make a good mystic, i'm not planning on using one yet though. shame i dont still have the old Rogue trader "Rogue psyker" as he would have been ace :)

 

Today i've made my first ever attempt at a coat, i know now i shoud have pared down the pads on the arms, and maybe even the whole arm, also there are details to add like piping and a few mistakes to touch up/redo like the odd little hole from pulling and the left heel where i "thumbed" it before it had set. anyway, comments appreciated, nay required :)

Ready yourselves, i have been modelling but as it wasnt on the coi i got guilty and stoped updating as much this thread ;)

 

so this evening i present you with two updates, ish.

 

 

Karitas' COI Update May 10th

 

A little progress at last. I've been distracted by the notion of a DH army, and in the mood to build rather than paint, the labours of which can be seen here for those inclined to view ;)

 

The result of this is a AOBR box worth of marines assembled and unpainted.

 

so today i decided to crack on and paint my Dread,

 

never done one of this model of dread before (last one i painted was pewter and had a face on it ;) )

 

it's a good model, and though it's not my best work it'll do for the table top

My =][= Lord, with a powersword and a LC, i think i like the LC more. again still tacked. all three of these guys will get cloaks or coats and the two elites still need shoulderpads etc.

 

so you see i havent been totally idle. i've also got some FW servitors and servos skulls built, but nothing has happened to them yet that you cant see on FW's website so no pics :)

I just wanted to give you some encouragement. I'm still in the planning stages of building an Inquisitor Lord with full retinue, and your work is inspiring me. I'm really seeing just how much potential the Inquisitor offers to show off unique and individual models to make an army so much more exciting. Thanks!!! Thanks guys, I thought in light of this new attention I'd repost some stuff from the =][= forums, so apologies to those who have seen this, but i know lots of people don't delve beyond this forum, I didnt use to.

 

I've been busy since my last post in the WiP forums, partly shame at failing my call, partly other distractions, but I've pretty much finished the build on this army now, just the Daemonhosts and two chimeras to go ( then ofc my orcs to sort, and an IG detachment to build etc etc)

I've built two of the chimeras too, but we all know what those look like, I'll post those once they are painted.

 

Theres a lot more pictures of each model on My Blog if you're interested, and once I get paint on I'll be sure to post here if there's still interest in a Call failure's work. what can I say, I just got sucked in by these guys.

 

I'm quite happy with them so far, but i'm anxious as to how theyll play against MEQ.
