Kenaz Posted October 25, 2009 Share Posted October 25, 2009 I know you're going to get a lot of negative and postive repsonses to what you're doing; but in the end make models that make you happy!!! :) I really dig some of your more out there conversions, and appreciat ethe risk you are taking within the whole hobby and community. Oh, and that Tau ion cannon razorback thing looks awesome and massive; a definite centerpiece to the army! A while back I put tau stealh packs on the back of my infiltrating dev. multi-melta marines, and many ,liked it, many did not. My force consists of 5000+ pts of orks, 1000 more or less of marines plus inquisistion...all working toghether...ha, ork mercenaries and radical inquisitors...hehehehehe...;) I just don't take it so seriously...and i love converting. det Posted October 27, 2009 Author Share Posted October 27, 2009 Wow....fantastic idea a powerfisted drone...to represent the servo-harness a bit better!! really thank you, i'll do that: i just happen to have a lone drone floating around!! Concerning the heavy weapons marines...well, the MM+tauPG is strange, but it is just slightly longer than a lascannon. The other one, with the wierd mix of flamer+tau meltagun+tau strange big boss weapon is a bit strange. I was thinking of converting him into a more heavy weapon look, thus maybe using a ML or another heavy weapon as base. the problem is the backpack: a plain one doesn't fit for a heavy weapon, and atm i run out of cool backpacks. In fluff terms I don't think it'd happen either, as some have mentioned. det Posted March 26, 2010 Author Share Posted March 26, 2010 Thanx for the comments ladz!! Glad many of you liked it!! And yes it's a ion cannon hellhammer thing that counts as a thunderfire cannon. Fluff wise it's quite simple, thay are indeed considered renegades so no real problem there. Plus serving a radical inquisitor has it's own pros. Plus they work with the Tau of the N 'dras world, a world which was suddently abandoned by the Tau empire for who know what reason. The tau still living there have some problems with the empire-loving tau...wow, a mighty congregation of renegades! (And my main force, orks, are blood axes...mercenaries shunned by the majorityf the other orks...guess it0s a theme!) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
