I dabbled in Tau and Necrons before settling on marines, and as mine are pure C:SM renegades with female marines, they beg, borrow and steal xenos tech in both fluff and modelling! Tau flamers, robot limbs etc. Sorry if I've missed this in the thread, but are you using C:SM, C:T or entering the minefield of home-grown rules & stats? Seeing as both the Thunderfire and the Railgun have different ammo options, the ThunderRail seems an obvious choice, on an oversized drone platform? The TM definitely needs a pair of armature drones. I'm using current space marine codex...in fact i even use my captain as a count-as korsarro on foot...:) i know, i must give the techtaumarine a powerfisted drone...ok, i will do it asap!! After all i need a drone -check- a PF -check- and some glue -check-...perfect! The only problem with fire warriors is that they are too slim, they don't seems to have S&T4...but i could modify them a bit...never really thought deeply of this since it's a fun army at the moment, so i don't really need to have certain units, when i come up with a nice idea i go for it, but i don't brainstorm for one. Som etime ago i was even thinking of using pigiron studios heavy infantry or system troopers as scouts or tacs, and maybe even wardroids as dreads...why not? they only "problem" is that none of these actually has squad leaders, not a big deal actually, but still something to consider. Jarl Bloodwolf Posted August 1, 2010 Share Posted August 1, 2010 The first razorback is deffinitly my favorite. I'm not a big fan of the techmarine though, I think it's the whole drone lower half. It reminds me of that hovering alien guy off of Men In Black 2, the one with the little clones. I've also done the Tau Drone with a weapon idea (mine was a chain-choppa) except I did it to represent my Big Meks attack squig ;) Anyway I think this would be a great place to look for anyone wanting to make the Dornian Heresy Ultras Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
