I had a look through my set of Iron warrior parts that I ordered and someone on another board suggestedthe crusade helmet but I don't have any of those so I shaved the horns off one of the iron warriors helmets and gave it to the commander.

I've still got to neated up the brown stuff, add some rivets and do alot of work with the arms but the finishing line is near for this guy.

Hope you like him.

Dude, that's an awesome conversion, and do i see a bit of irony in the helmet?

Thanks guys.

Not so much irony, as it was just a really nice helmet. But I do like that it's stolen from a iron warrior.

I made him ages ago, long before forge works has released all the great helmets they have now.

It's been a loooong time since I last added anything to the army. But with the slew of forge world releases I couldn't resist adding some bits & bobs.

First up Sigismund!

He actually arrived over a week ago as I had pre ordered him at the warhammer world open day.

I wasn't a fan of the pose so I've set about converting him,

I picked up a set of Templar brethren for the sole purpose of using one of the helmets.

And in the last couple of days I've started putting him back together again,

And here he is next to some soon to be mechanicum allies.

Hope you like him so far.

Cheers!

I love how brazen you are.

Lol, thanks KBA.

Here's a updated photo. He is pretty much finished, just a couple bits to tidy up.

I'm just not sure what to do for his base past the usual bullet casings, rubble and barbed wire. I am thinking maybe a small pile of skulls and helmets at his feet but I'm not so sure.

Shaw, just went through this entire thread, and all I can say is Wow! You've done an awesome amount of beautiful war-torn work and these guys look like they'd fit in perfectly at the Siege.

I love your Sigismund. He is absolutely fantastic in that pose!

IW helms at his feet!

The most recent adjustments are fantastic and may seem subtle, but really add to the narrative. The flow of the garment brings you in, and moves your eyes toward the sword, that really says, 'You and me? We're fighting', before releasing them upper right, toward the head and clenched fist. He's looking right at you, and that stoic clenched fist isn't even thinking about going for the holstered pistol. Perfect for a challenge master.thumbsup.gif

Really like the improvements to the standard Sigismund pose, I didn't think much of the model when I first saw it, the pose just looked... odd and I hate unhelmeted models, even if they are characters. Your new pose for him makes it look like he is just becoming visible through the thinning fog of war, standing in the breach of the Imperial Palace walls surrounded by the bodies of fallen traitor champions, perfectly at ease, his crystal lenses glowing through the drifting clouds of dust as he watches, and waits, for the next fool to come forward and face his blade!

Anyway enough waxing dramatic. I also like what you did with that Captain Sicarius model. The static pose was always very bleh and attempts to improve it have always resulted in mediocre outcomes IMO, but your version with a helmet and Thunder Hammer does look much better I think.

Just a quick update for you all. Sigismund is progressing slowly as I've been very busy.

I'm going to a heresy event next weekend, if I remember il take some photos and post them on here.

I've also ordered the new boxset, I didn't think it would as I don't really need it. But I couldn't resist. So in the next few months il be adding a tactical support squad & some more terminators to bolster the existing squad.

Here is a quick photo of where I am at on sigismund, still a way off yet, but I hope to get him finished before the weekend event.
