Mate, that work's just gorgeous - I really like the matt finish on your minis, and the crisp highlighting is really outstanding! I also like the writings on the banners and on the scrolls, really great, I like it very much. :)

As always, your work is inspiring and I'm looking forward to the Deathwing!

These are the best Dark Angels I have ever seen, hands down. The armour is cleanly highlighted and masterfully shaded, the colour combinations work perfectly together, the detail you manage to pick out and paint is incredible and I'm finding myself waiting for lots more.

I'm damn well impressed.

All the best,

Ludovic

Can't wait to see the Deathwing. I am getting mine cleaned up at the moment, which, for me, also involves carving away any filled in areas due the the limitations of the molding process on these limited piece models (because I am insane!).

You must be... that's quite an undertaking. I guess you mean hollowing out solid underfills.

Also: loving the awesome sauce scale very much

Thank you guys !

I've been busy for the last couple of days so I couldn't responed earlier. The Deathwing Termies are almost done - I need to finish the bases and some details on armour so they should be fully painted tomorrow.

Painitng bone armour is sooooooo time consuming :)

Yep. I have always done this, even on the regular marines. Around the knee joints are the main trouble areas on the regular multi-part PA and TDA marines. The DV models are not too bad though, excepting a few very filled in areas. But it is plastic. Cutting away the extra plastic a little bit at a time (and having patience) is the key.

Enough of that though. More models from bevulf! I guess I'll need a new scoring system for the next one.

You are trying to make this wolf select the sons of the lion as his 4th army. Tsk Tsk. STOP! <_<

Army looks really good. I bet they look even better in person.

Thanks for your green recipe.

Well, it just looks awesome... You've got your RW, your DW and your Greenwing ready and done to a standard I could only dream of. I'm consumed with jealousy. Love the white on the Termies - I'm a staunch supporter of the "cold" whites instead of the bone "warm" whites - so this is perfectly made to my taste... :tu:

I also see you got rid of the feathers for the sergeant... Suffice to say the result is very rewarding - focus on the gothic elements and play down the more... ermm.. other elements! ;)

So what next? How about the RW squad of the DV? I suggest you keep some ammo back because recent rumors indicate that our Codex (with all the new goodies that will undoubtedly bring) can come as early as November!!!

@Gotsmasha/EPK/BBLudovic/Stobz/Chaeron/furioso-prime/Lord Ragnarok/Cpt.Semper - Thank you guys – your constant support means a lot to me !!!

@Lord Ragnarok – I think that we all be more than happy to welcome another Unforgiven in our ranks ;)

@Cpt.Semper - I decided on the ‘cold’ white because of the same reasons as yours - I do not fully like the yellowish bleached look – it took me some time to find the recipe of the ‘dead bone’ as I used to name it, that I was pleased with. I removed the wings on sergeant’s back beacuse I didn’t like them - IMO sergeant looked more like rabbit than terminator ;) I mounted on their place the same Angel icon as on my two previous deathwing sergeants.

What’s next ? Well, you seem to read my mind just as our Chief Librarian Ezekiel, as it is the 2nd time you fully guessed the next painting target – yes it will be DV ravenwing squad :( It will be followed by 6 tactical marines from DV box – I will paint only those that aren’t duplicated and add 4 robed marines to complete them.

And as for the Codex release I am already thrilled and can’t wait for the upcoming release. After reading the latest rumors it seems that I will end up with an APOCALYPSE SIZE army…
