I did plan on a new force for 2011, but time pressures put an end to that idea and instead I decided to add 500 points to my force. The concept of the Hawks originally was to be 1st and 10th and I kind of fleshed that out pretty well. So, now I'm starting on the power armored companies and firstly with some devastators from 2nd Company. It will be interesting to see if I can keep them alive long enough to be effective. I guess we'll find out. I'm also now blogging about my experiences with this hobby and others. Kind of a 2011 resolution. So, please feel free to have a look at my signature link. I've put a 2010 Australian tourney review in there with some pictures of these guys in action. Griddon Posted January 8, 2011 Author Share Posted January 8, 2011 Hi Guys. Well the Captain is from the masters of the chapter box set. I replaced his left arm with a standard bolt pistol arm and converted the shoulder pad from a DA helmet wing piece. The blue is Hawk Turquoise with shadows created by washing asurmen blue into the recesses and building back up through hawk turquoise with various levels of skull white added. It's a rewarding colour to work with as it's quite transparent when thinned correctly and it allows dry blending of the layers.
