Here's the update. I got the metal areas highlighted and the the bone colors done.

Next step is to highlight the bone areas, then clean up the black areas and highlight them green.

You're welcome Dentist.

Here's the next step. The bone areas have been highlighted.

Next I'll clean up and highlight the black/green areas.

Just a question watching your paint technique on the bleached bone parts.

Why do you wash first on the entire area, the paint it a solid bleached bone and highlight with skull wite.

Seems like a lot of wasted wash there, for just a few inclinations with the darker washed colour.

Apart from that, getting a great look again, as always. Is this one giung to ebay again or are you going to play this list?

You're probably right. Most other applications have a lot of wash areas, so I didn't think about it when I started.

These are for my gaming army.

Here's the progress. I got 5 of the "clean up" stages done, basically one drop pod's worth. Two to go, then I can start the green.

Looking crisp again, have you got an army list ready yet for us to criticize?

Lol, I have 4000pts plus in painted DA. I can play any list. I've moved recently and 1500 seems to be the local standard, so I've been trying different things each time.

My current projects are more in the nice to have and/or fun mode rather than base units.

Here's my next update. I finished the clean up on the last 10 fins, and then decided to assemble to pods. Probably not the best plan, but I got a wild hair. Now at least they're playable. Next step, green highlights on the fins.

It's a painting, back from the days when I thought I was an artist. I 'll post a picture. I will be finished with all the pods tonight and will post pics. Boy will I be happy to be done!

Here is a snapshot of the completed pods.

I'll take a better picture when they're sealed.

Notice the Company Markings.

Also, for Isiah, here are the paintings that were behind the pods. I had done a hole series for a show, all 2'x5'. When I moved for my new job I needed something to put on the walls, so I dug them out.

After all that work, I've decided to treat myself with a character model to paint before my next project.

Thanks guys. Ezekiel's going to be fun to paint.

Painting minis took over from big paintings, once those just started to get stacked in the closet once they were done. At least I can display the minis in a case.

Thanks Krewl.

Here's the first shot of Ezekiel. He's pretty much done except for the backpack. That'll be tomorrow.

Here's the final Ezekiel. I only have to add the sealant and then he's done.
