I really like the Scout's blade. The effect is really cool, and I might end up stealing it if I figure out how you did it.

As for critisism, not that much to say really. The bases could use some work, and the scout could use some pupills.

Bjorn wasn't entombed into a Dreadnought untill long after the heresy btw, but it still looks good. Very different.

Keep up the good work. ;)

There isn't much to criticize. You have a very unique style which is very appealing, but I will say that you should elaborate more on the bases. Add some stones, sand, and snow or the like. It will give more character to the model as a whole. Congrats. :tu:

yeah, bases would be my main critizism(sp?). Anyway, I was wondering how you did the trim on your terminators? Like the crux terminatus and stuff like that. It looks very good.

Btw, thx for the larget pics. Makes the models look even better.

thank you for the compiments, i am also looking for Criticism. so please feel free.

i uploaded larger images.

Well, if you are lookings for things to improve on some of the things i like the moast about the Dreadnoughts regularly is that they seem so big mettaly and inhuman.

I realy like the "face" on your smiling dread, but I think the rest of it looks a bit to mutch of an anime meck. It is not bad, but it looks very Tau. The long limbs also gives assosiations to tyranids (but this can be countered with paint) However, if you can make it less elegang and more compact I would like it even more.

Come to think of it, it also looks a bit like a wraightguard. :-) Keep the face, just tro to bolt on some "terra tech cog wheels and exchaust" to "dumb him down" or to add more so his limbs are not that thin and long.

Fantastic work although, as noted, the bases let you down.

Just as an aside, 13th GC have been in the EoT for quite a long time and are known for using armour and weapons taken from their enemies to replace their own equipment as is breaks. It's a great opportunity to add the odd unusual item taken from some exulted champion or other.

Very nice. I really like the assault cannon and belt feeder. Unique look to it, not the normal bolt gun metal with black accent look.

Like everyone else, doing up the bases would really finish off your nice mini's. And on the guns, maybe use a pin vice and drill out the barrels. It adds a nice depth to the gun.

thanks for the compliments.

the bases are only temporary, i should be getting nearly 100 of the nice inset bases shortly.

the paint

(grey)

the gray is a build up from Chardon Granite, then Adeptus battle grey, with water down codex grey, then watered down fortress grey, with a final watered down skull white.

(NMM bronze/gold)

Build up from Chardon Granite to scorched brown, to bestial brown, to snake bite leather, to bronzed flesh, to skull white. (most of these are watered down.)

the bjorn is a base skeletal structure of card board with grey stuff sculpted around it.

i based the bjorn dread after these.

( i just noticed the bleach reference. does kinda look like a hollow...)

its still wip and need help with decided what i should do/how to do the arms.

p.s.

will add some pics of some other stuff shortly.

  • 3 weeks later...

made these a awhile ago, the paint jobs not the best, i've since switched all of there bases to circles, however there is no flock or nythin on the yet.

i'm thinking of running them as blood claws and if still possible in apoc as wulfen usin the apoc wulfen data sheet.

Looks great man. Scout is my favorite for sure. I paint mine with a close color scheme. - Not near as well though. I do like the blade and the shoulder pad effect. I do mine white and red as well though I think I like your fading better than the symbol I use on mine.

Though that Daemon looks like it's ready to pounce...

Very nice Wulfen... what did you use / show us a wulfen tutorial... I especially like the really feral ones on all fours.

the wulfen are made from Gor-Ungor bits, "head arms etc...". with chaos marine and marine parts. with GS over for fur gaps.

the ones on all fours were made by reversing the angle of a normal marine leg, spinnin it so it looks backwards from the knee down. then GS'ing everything else. (can't made a picture tutorial because i am all out of parts for them at the moment.)

the blade is simple, chaos black for base, then fortress grey on the actuall blade end with skull white in a wave pattern.

thanks for the comments again.
