some work on my new 13th co logo

 

Idea behind it is simple, based off of the grand annulus, shift the annulus so that the 13th obsidian slab is on top

shift the center golden ring so the open part is to the side

add a golden circle inside the obsidian slab

then "scratch" or "mark" it out.

 

My thought behind it is, wulfen claws raked across the original symbol making it impossible to read.

 

leave parts of the golden yellow circle

other thought about the 13th co logo. what if it were a obsidian slab with a Trislisk from the horus heresey era iconography?

Makes more sense the Wulfen retain the insignia of Jorin Bloodhowl's Great Company (the one the Horus Heresy-era Wulfen belonged to), or be outright blackshields.

Why are the DreadKnight's lightning claws different colors?

The claws look primitive- something Wolverine (the Marvel Comics character) will improvise from the remains of his kills, and then use to kill more efficiently. I approve.

I'm impressed with the amount of detail you added to the Dreadknight. The wolf skulls housing the lightning claws look AWESOME.

still trying to figure out the iconography i want to put on him, and any runic work. I don't want to make him to busy at the same time the added detail has to fit in with the model and not detract it

accidentally knocked murderfang off of my desk and he broke into 4 parts. Pins coming in monday to fix him,  but in the mean time it gives me easier access to paint him.

 

going forward I will be painting most of my models in parts then assembling them. as the newer models have so much detailed deep in layers its hard to paint. =/

thanks, i know I can do better, gonna switch brushes, for whatever reason white paint always does a number to my brushes. =/
