I just remembered that I've made a crude tutorial for the lightning arc on the Librarian, for whom ever is interested. :)  First of all, you'll need a hair! Glue the 2 ends on something (I used 2 bottlecups) so that you can stretch it and be able to work with it. Then apply several coats of superglue to give it some thickness and make it more solid. You can speed up the process by dipping the superglued hair in water. When it stron enough do the following:  *First of all, cut 5 pieces roughly 2" inches long and glue them on the fingers of the model. (FIGURE 1) http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/6835/lightningtutorial1.jpg  *Then snap each piece creating a zig-zag pattern. (FIGURE 2) http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/4859/lightningtutorial2.jpg  *Glue those pieces together making a branch-like patern, even trying twisting them making a point on the other end. Hopefully it will strengthen enough, so that it will be less likelly to break. I cut them on the elbows and repositioned them a bit. Also I don't know if you noticed but I painted every left claw or power fist black. That's how I saw it in the Codex, but I'm not sure if there's a reason for it... vahouth Posted January 30, 2011 Author Share Posted January 30, 2011 Thanks guys! @ Demoulius I got those Thunderhawks from FW, but their bases were not included :D so I had to by those from the GW site.  As for the update...at last I finished the power weapon tutorial, so here is how it goes:  1. I basecoated the blades with Regal blue and washed them with Badab black http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/4135/16634943.jpg  2. Once dry, I made a lightning pattern with pure Regal Blue. http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/6950/70996182.jpg  3. I continued with a 1:1 mix of Regal Blue + Ultramarines Blue. http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/3952/50896672.jpg  4. Then Pure Ultramarines Blue. http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/5743/90131625.jpg  5. Then a 1:1 mix of Ultramarines Blue + Ice Blue. http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/579/83163162.jpg  6. Then Pure Ice Blue concentrating on the edges. http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/9113/93196832.jpg  7. Then Pure Skull White again concentrating on the edges of the blade and the pattern. http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/7565/28363284.jpg  At this point the blade already looks great and you can stop here. I added however another step: 8.
