Tabgoi Posted March 22, 2011 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Looking good as always. I noticed the lucky strikes, have not seen those in a long while, I am a fan of cowboy killers myself. You know, with the raven, you did a lot less battle damage then on the rest of your force which makes it look a little out of place. Compared to your normal fare on here it looks a lot more stock then you normally do. Not that it looks bad, it is a great clean paint job. I am guessing this is do to the tectonic disturbances near you, and the short time frame to finish your vow. I look forward to seeing your last squad and the completed LPC vow together. And as of yet the Razor has been through hell so had Amit the New Dread the other Dread manages to get imobed somehow* I know why too his back plate is from Bjorn* Oh and I am also starting to run out of Paints :) and my hobby store is well Flat now I estimate enough to finish a 5 man Dev and 4 more Assault marines but again Cheers Tabgoi Oh and about the "cowboy killers" I have never seen those down here But then again I do not really smoke Tailor made cigs much more a Port royal Black Pouch smoker. Tabgoi Posted March 22, 2011 Share Posted March 22, 2011 That is a cool thing to do with the battle damage, to add it when they actually get in some damage in games. I like that a lot. Cowboy killers are the nick name for Marlboro Red 100s. All the great cowboys like John Wayne and such used to only smoke Marlboro Red 100s and a so they ended up getting called cowboy killers. I would probably be a self made cigarette guy, but it takes time to roll em, and I am pretty lazy when it comes to my smokes. That and while normally I am a half a pack a day guy, when I go to a good party and we are drinking from say 1400 to 0600 I may go thru FAR more. I hope you get a new hobby store in short order, I know what it is like to have to take a serious drive to pick up supplies. But since I just got 120 minis stripped, 20 metal DC magnetized; a tac squad and SP based I am going to take a break from stripping and magnetizing to get some painting done. So I may shortly get a WIP , though my skills are not up to the same level as your. Good luck on finishing in time with the paints you have. But yes I like doing My damage like that But I tend to stop at a certain point like the Razor that has got it or else it starts to look too sloppy. I will be giving my Flesh Tearers a rest once the LPC has been completed so I can work on my Main army since I have about the same as you stripped but in the way of Tau stuff.
