As I promised, here are some WIP shots of my Iron Warrior Terminators & Terminator Lord ;)

PART 1

Captain Rackstrum - Lord (he’s 90% done, just needs a few little gaps filling up)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Rackstrum1.png

The Ironclad - Terminators (in all there will be 10, only got 9 built up & most of them need some more sculpting & detailing... as well as shoulder pads)

Lieutenant Bruticus - Champion (one of my favs :P his right shoulder pad will have a sculpted IW icon)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Bruticus_front1.png

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Bruticus_sides1.png

Blaagorn (nothing much special with this guy, just used the Wolf Guard Heavy Flamer)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Blaagorn1.png

Haargoth (I'm really happy how the Autocannon turned combined the Wolf Guard Assault Cannon Ammo feed)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Haargoth1.png

Vork'ash (the Chain Halberd can either count as a Power Weapon or Chain Fist... as you can the blade has been scratch built)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Vorkash1.png

Fantastic conversions there brother really like them, Whats the weapon on the last terminator's left arm ??

The Weapon on his left arm is a Flamer... I like the idea of having the combi weapons separated

Wowzers! They reek of awesomeness! They are excellent!!!!!! Anymore on their way??????

hehe Thanx dude... yup here is PART 2 :D

Nalgor (Another one of my fav guys... the Halberd is from a Chaos Knight & Melta gun is from the Sanguinary Guard)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Nalgor1.png

Aruken (his Hammer will count as a power fist & the arms are currently blue-tacked on)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Aruken1.png

Jörgmund (the Plasma gun is mounted on the Power Halberd... but not sure where to put the bolter...)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Jorgmund1.png

Gothard (need some ideas on wot detail I could add to this guy...)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Gothard1.png

Mörklon - Icon Bearer (gonna have an IW Icon sculpted on his chest)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Morklon1.png

Still got 1 more guy to build up, once he is done I'm gonna finish them all off ^_^

looking awesome so far!

i love gothard, though a bit of bionics would make the model really feel like the Iron Warriors. im sure an excess of warning stripes should do the rest :P

just wondering if you top secret spawn idea was the same as mine, i wont say what mine is incase it ruins the secret

keep it up

it's guys like you that make me consider the Iron Warriors for my next army. and then i remember the current codex aint great for Iron Warriors unfortunatly. and also i don't have the money to convert all the guys with Wolf Guard/Sanguinary Guard/Warriors of Chaos stuff

but keep up the good work. you never know you could be the guy who pulls be down the Iron path ;)

love it all :P. for gothar i would as said add bionics and cover in chervrons. but also i would consider having like a vox amplifer so he can shout at the enemy :)

and for Jorgumund how about have the bolter on like a servo arm coming out of his shoulder. sort of like R2-D2 has things on poles stick out of his head. but more chaosy :P

Thank you for the wicked comments & suggestions guys! :(

@ sword brethren - I'm considering giving Gothard a bionic left leg... your spawn ideas could be the same as mine... depends which books you read ;)

@ Dorns padawan - I always spend a good bit of time playing round with poses! Of course…. It wouldn’t be an IW army with out some Armour & Mechs ;)

@ Custodian Athiair - Yeah the dex isn’t the greatest (I miss the 3rd ed), but an IW army is defo a convertors paradise :) I quite like the idea of giving Gothard a Vox amp too…. As for Jörgmund, I want something on his left side to balance him out a bit… so I might put of bolter either on a servo arm or his left gauntlet!

Gotta few games today, but work is well under way for my 10th terminator & will be posting a pic up of him in the next few days ;)

I'd have said a servo arm for 'mechiness' since a few 'signature' pieces of IW tech would really help identify these guys bar the traditional paintjob. The ammo feed for the reaper is an inspired idea and is sooooo being shamelessly lifted!

Keep going, I look forwards to seeing more of these lads.

@ Paladin7221 - yeah I might go for the servo arm, as theres not really enough room for the bolter on his gauntlet cuz of the halberd's shaft! hehe yeah feel free to 'borrow' the autocannon idea  wasn't that hard to do, just had to hack up the SW assault cannon a bit & bend the Ammo feed abit (carefully though) just needs a bit of green stuff to make it look seemless!

@ Retributis - yup I shall be beefing up the joint between Nalgor's melta & gauntlet! ;)

Well here is a WIP shot of the 10th member of the Ironclad - Morderk armed with a Power Ram (counts as a Powerfist) & Twin-linked bolter

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/t0rtured-s0ul/GW%20Stuff/Morderk1.png

I scratch built the ram from a Ravenwing Assault cannon, a servo arm, plasticard & some bitz... pretty happy how it looks! Also gotta add some trim to his torso & fill in the gap between the bionic eye & his head. However I'm a bit stuck where to put the Twin-linked bolter, as currently it’s mounted on his left gauntlet, but not too sure about it. What do you guys think??

Next step is to finish all 11 guys off... then I have 4 squads of 10 Chaos Marines, 8 Berzerkers & 2 squads of 8 Havocs to finish before I wanna start painting!

Very Nice indeed SIR !!!

But, Wouldn't the Ram be better classed as a chain fist as that would go through the side of a tank very well and i can imagine it being sent cartwheeling through the air after impact aswell :D

Get them painted :D

From the way he's stood, an idea for the bolters sprung into my head. Have an ammo bracket attatched to his back, two feeds and the bolters 'fixed' to his armour on either side of his torso.

Uber chest bolter spray fire of doom.

Awesome work on them!

@ KhornateKiller - aye, i could use it as either a count as Chainfist or Power fist!

@ Brother Tyrax - That would be a pretty cool idea, although i don't think I’d have the room on his torso... so I've decided to keep the twin-linked bolter, but I do like the idea of having an ammo feed on his back!

Small update, I'm currently working on finishing of the modelling side of these guys, well at least the Lord & 5 of the termis... As I'm thinking of entering the Call of Chaos IV (I would enter all of them, however I'm going to Australia for a while at the end of may, so i dunno if I’d have time to finish them off)

Also i have been drawing up some concepts for a 12th Terminator to represent Vlâdvar (counts as Abaddon)! As originally I was going to have Vlâdvar’s pre-13th Black Crusade version in power armour, counting as Huron & also using Huron's figure as a base for the conversion. However, the Huron mini is a bit short & I'm really happy how my Terminators are looking (plus Abaddon is pretty kick arse in game)! Plus I want Vlâdvar to be a towering figure, so I will use the plastic Termi Lord as a base & extend his legs, Torso & arms to make him taller! Of course I will add bionics & some IW detailing. Anyone got some cool suggestions for him??

I will post up some concept sketches later :D

Hello dave!

concerning your dude with the plasma halbard, maybe put the bolter on the back end of the shaft? spinning it around to spray em with bolter fire.

for your count as abaddon, i suggest a ornate combi bolter in one hand or on a wrist, and a kick ass 2 handed chain/axe, chain/halbard or double pended chainsword to represent his Drach'nyen and the talon of horus, or with a giant oversized powerfist/claw to represent his I6 str 8 attacks.

looking forward to our game next monday dude :D

These are most excellent good sir! It's because of terminators like these I sometimes wish I was playing chaos.. you guys can pull off the most amazing conversions.

I'm really looking forward to seeing these guys finished my friend, and will deff be keeping an eye on this thread.

Cheers!

You could maybe mount Morderk's combi-bolter on a mini pintle mount above his head, sorta like it's linked to his bionic eye and fires in the direction he looks?

Overall fantastic work and manpoints for the tf references ;)
